Hello,
I have bent the lower rear arm on my celi

Does anybody know if theres a difference beetween GT and ST for this part?
Also sometimes these parts are the same on other model, does somebody know if the same part from an older or newer generation of celica can be used as a replacement?

I am having a hell of time trying to find used spares parts here in France (buying it from toyota dealer would almost cost one fifth of the actual value of the car lol)

Unfortunately, the earlier era Celicas used a different No. 2 arm design -- the bolt which attaches to the body is different. It's possible to convert a fifth-gen Celica to use a sixth-gen Celica's arm, but not the other way without potentially dangerous modifications.

When looking for part numbers, I suggest toyodiy.com. You can drill down to your particular car, search by part name (Toyota's official name, which in the parts database would be a suspension arm), and also reverse that search by using the part number to find what models used that part.

Looks like the part you need is 48730‑20190 ARM ASSY, REAR SUSPENSION, NO.2 for the ST (chassis code AT200), or 48730‑20170 REAR SUSPENSION, NO.2 for the GT (ST202). Different list prices too, € 164.04 versus € 123.03. The GT arm comes up as having been used in ST191, which is the Carina GL in the UK and Europe.

Lithia Toyota's parts website indicates the GT part number has been superceded by 48730-20210, which costs $142.32. According to toyodiy's reverse part number lookup, it was used on ST202s built from 1993 to 1999, both left- and right-hand drive.

The ST part number has also been replaced with 48730-20191, which also costs $142.32. According to toyodiy, it was used on LHD and RHD AT200s from 1995 to 1999, and on LHD GTs from 1993 to 1995.

Sport edition of the GT? I seem to recall it and the Canadian GTS having somewhat different suspension setups.

thats what I thought too, did a lot of research on it, but they may or may not be the same thing because im getting similar part numbers and exact same pricing for both. to be safe just stick to non gts.
