get some BCs :shamelessplug: Megan has a new Street Series now, under $700 too. Both only offer the low end "street series" I am looking for a slight upgrade from street series coilovers since I plan on doing ALOT more auto-x and tracking in the coming years -------------------- 1995 GT::::Diffusing the Situation エキサイティングカーレーシングチーム! march 2010 COTM : 6GC feature 2014 : january 2015-2016-2018 COTM |

There's always Tein, Tanabe, and TRD. Though I think they're all discontinued now.

See if KW makes some coils for the Celica. If you can get KW V3, they're the best "cheap" (read: sub-$3000) coilovers for actual racing. They have height adjustment, rebound adjustment and compression adjustment. They're yellow and purple too, so they'd match with your brakes for that added style points

what you just did is get me all excited that KW made coilovers for our car, I went and searched with high hopes, only to have them SMASHED to BITS when discovering they dont. I blame myself because ive looked before on KW

Are there any other "entry" coils that are stiffer than BC/Megans? K-sport/D2 maybe?

Im not sure what all the out of the box spring rates are. Im pretty sure you can get custom spring rates from each company. I believe KSports have a higher spring rate than most.
I am leaning more towards the GT-Pro as the RR's are more "race only" they say The GT-Pro's have a higher spring rate out of the box than the Kontrol Sport Pro, but I believe that is common when moving up to advanced systems throughout all brand coilovers. They try to keep lower spring rates for more comfort obviously -------------------- 1995 GT::::Diffusing the Situation エキサイティングカーレーシングチーム! march 2010 COTM : 6GC feature 2014 : january 2015-2016-2018 COTM |

I freaking love mine, even though I only have them for the rear, but they are amazing. You will get pretty much 0% body roll when doing autoX with them on the stiffest settings. |

i know czwalga had said that he got them for around 4k new. That might be a BIT out of my range. im trying to stay within 1500. Unless if I can find some used, but they are more of a custom order type of setup with Hot Bits

Tein from USA? Though your USA specs are different to our Japanese ones, which are discontinued. Or try fortune auto though they only list ST185 & ST205 Celica's atm

My D2 RS's have high spring rates (something like 10.5 front and 11.5 rear) and are fully adjustable with camber plates, as well as lower slotting to allow the top bolt to rock for adjustment. I love them. Only thing that scared me was the height my sway bar has to sit in the rear. I'm looking into a longer Moog part number that will allow it to hang lower. Otherwise, I've got them on 18 right now with a 0 preload on the spring and it's a tad stiffer than I'd like, but holy hell does it dig into corners. That's also on winter tires! I've also noticed that because I'm running a slight rake, the rear has a higher tendency to want to break free first. It's great fun in the bends now

I don't think the rake has much to do with the oversteer, once this car stiffens up it just tends to do that. Lovely characteristic.
