How much taller than a 1mz is the 2gr??
A e153 is a must I'm guessing with the 2gr too isn't it.
What the rough cost of a basic 2gr swap?

Are the gears turnin in your head now? biggrin.gif

The gears have been turning for awhile
This car isn't stopping at a 1mz
The 1mz is just the starting point.....

"yeah, i was one of the first few to swap in a 1mz....

It'll do good to handle a stock 2GR, unless all you're doing is drag racing then it really doesn't matter too much how little you can steer. tongue.gif

sc'ing your 1mz puts you in the 2gr ballpark.

Smaay couldn't do a 2gr. No way to get around AT codes with the 2gr. He's in California, so it wouldn't get past inspection with codes.

Ahh valid point
Glad they don't do that around me lol
What was the rough cost of the 2gr in your brothers Mr2?
Any extra mods need to be done over a 1mz swap?

Kurt, a 2GR will require a ton of work and it will be expensive. if you are looking to upgrade, just get a 3MZ and run it with the 1MZ electronics like I did. you will NOT be disappointed. a 2GR will require wiring, and the engine (2400 +) 3MZ engines i see all day long on car-part for about 700 bucks
