Hey All,
So the next step in my work on the car is to lower it a bit more and add spacers to the rears the get the flush look and i just wanted to get all your advice on what the best gear is etc, 1; What are some good adjustable coilovers that will work on a 94 ? Under $1000 and supplied to AUS if possible haha. 2; Same deal with spacers, how thick should i get, who should i get them from and should i fit them first so i know how low i can go ? Rims are 18x8.5 et35 on 225/40 tires. Here's a photo that might help with the spacer issue, its a thumbnail so click through. PS: I know i have to get my guards rolled and all that, its no biggie yet. There are multiple threads about coilovers. And for spacers. Search function. Agreed but spacers seem to be a car by car thing and when i searched i was looking at people saying 10mm is best and next result was 35mm, and im just looking for a generalized answer about best gear in regards to coilovers cause...laziness haha Edit, was still searching ebay when i posted all this and came across these, The extra straight up cost covers what i would pay for overseas shipping just not sure if they are a reputable brand ? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/BC-Racing-BR-Co...=item232d1204fa This post has been edited by Chovies: Jul 12, 2013 - 4:11 AM -------------------- Listen, Like and Share my bands page on facebook !!!

You might have seen my thread as well asking the same question about spacers. What I ended up doing is I just went and measured how much the wheel has to poke for the desired effect. I decided to drop the idea for spacers for the moment and wait till I get coilovers. -------------------- |

Dang. Coilovers are expensive there. I say get Megan Racing just because the majority of the 6gc community rides on Megan Racing. I myself have them on my car for the past 6 months and it's perfect. Lowers my car and get to adjust the dampering.
As for spacers. I'd say 5mm for front and 15mm for the rear but that'll mean you'll need more tire stretch and lower profile. Maybe run 35 or 40 series. http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showto...9&hl=harold -------------------- |

Be sure to do your research on rolling the fenders. What I see from a lot of people is using a heat gun, so the paint does not crack.
I didn't use one and my paint cracked, obviously. Not that I cared tho, I was repainting the area anyway. As for coilovers, no idea, I have no experience in the field, that's why I didn't reply on it. -------------------- |

He won't have to deal with international shipping and imagine if the send the wrong item, oh the headaches. -------------------- |

hey Chovies,
I've been on Megan's Street Series for about a month now and they ride pretty smooth with great adjustments. I cant compare them to others because these are my first set. They were under $1,000 with free shipping from this site http://www.redlinemotive.com/part-number/m...r-cdk-tce94.asp I don't know what the cost would be to AUS, as I am in the states. -------------------- 94' Celica GT Manual |

With your tires, I'd recommend 5mm front spacers and 10-15mm in the rear. If you were to lower your tire size to 215/40/18 instead you'd have a little more room for flush fitment.

Dont know how low you want to go but yeah. Also i got mine off ebay, for just under $1000 posted to your door less than 4days (and im in Western Australia!!) And for wheel spacers, try ichiba, got them off ebay as well. Approx $450 all up with postage. Im current running 30mm on front and 38mm on rear (hubcentric ofc) Firstly get your coilovers, then lower your car to where your happy and then get spacers. Thats what i did anyway. But thats my opinion! Goodluck! My thread: http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=89426 (if theres anything in there that can help yah) -------------------- It's my car, I do what I want... Don't like it? Buy your own and do it your way.

Had BC BR's fitted a few months ago, currently got the front lip sitting about 80mm off the ground haha
Will probably end of getting 5 or 10's on the back just so it doesn't look to extreme but thanks for the brand heads up. -------------------- Listen, Like and Share my bands page on facebook !!!
