I Google'd it and apparently it's a common problem with cheap HID kits. EMI filters on each ballast will solve the issue. What do these EMI filters look like? I would assume EMI means Electromagnetic Interference... but I wouldn;t know where to start with looking for one ahha >.< Dont even have the time at the moment >.< Off to tafe tomorrow for another 10hours straight and then home work Yup, that's what is stands for. That's ok, they'll probably cost more than the HID kit did. Probably the best way to go about is to use ferrite cores on the cables between the ballast and the bulb: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lot-of-10-Clip-on-...=item25809eb16d From what you said it doesn't sound like it's an issue, but making sure the ballasts are grounded properly would help. Got to looking some more and apparently there are pre-made filters for HID kits: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2x-hid-EMC-hid-war...8da&vxp=mtr Though it says warning canceler and filter, so I don't know. If it were me I'd just go with an actual EMI filter and do it myself, that way I know it's what it says it is. Depending on the amperage it would determine the cost of the filters. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

Yeah, guess the EVO 10 was a better subject; if I were the photographer I'd ignore the stockish Celica too.

And racecar:
The driveway makes the rear pass gap look huge. I'll put up some pics after fri when I finalize the fitment. Right now it rubs like nuts (still haven't rolled the fenders lol) and I need some front and rear camber. Going to pull the front fenders a tad to get a better fitment too. Possibly going lower soon, but I have to adjust the exhaust up a bit. The Ultra Quiet resonator is scraping on stuffs. -------------------- 1994 Toyota Celica GT-S 5S-FE 190k Miles. He's putting it on air ride, bought it for $400. Will be daily driving it as soon as he gets the engine back in. Came with two engines (or more) one turbo H6, one NA. He's shaving the bay right now and will be slamming it on BBS RS's. It's a 4 speed. He also found rear seats out of a Ford Pinto that fit PERFECTLY in the front lol.
Corvair build: Rewire entire car Put engine back in (car came with it out, sat for 20 years, still cranks and was filled with marvel mystery oil before storage) Air suspension annd I forget what else he's got to do. lol. He also has a Karmen Ghia sitting to the left of it in the garage. That project is on hold while he does the Corvair (because he want's to sell his Diesel Jetta Coupe (1985)) and get his mopeds running. The rust bucket you see infront of my car is Paulies rusted Golf MK3. He stripped the paint and has been rust treating it to make a rust car lol. He doesn't wash his car, he oils it! -------------------- 1994 Toyota Celica GT-S 5S-FE 190k Miles. Project car 1992 Toyota Celica GT 5S-FE 170k Miles. Intentionally rusting your car is like intentionally getting cancer, I don't get it. Anyhow I'm sure the Corvair will be awesome once it's done, even if Ralph Nader won't drive it at any speed.

Four wheel independent suspension, got 30+MPG... For **** sakes, the engine is an H6 that looks like a giant flat radiator when bolted in lol. Those are the same thing, albeit more expensive than what's on eBay. There's also shielding tape which could be used to cover the entire cable, then use the ferrite cores at the ends.

Since if this much EMI is being generated, imaging what else under the hood it could be affecting Not to mention if I interfered with some safety vehicle or something driving past... Better off just fixing it now then paying for it later Will be heading down to JayCar very soon thanks for the info Box, I've been so flat out I havn't had time to search myself -------------------- ------------------------------| White '94 Celica | Bought 11/05/12 | Sold 12/05/15 |------------------------------ |

So just got back from JayCar, The pack contained two of the EMI filters for $7.00 and I also got a 50m role of aluminum tape $11 and placed the filter directly below the line going from Ballast to bulb.
I then wrapped the rest of that wiring with the Aluminum tape and repeated on the opposite sides. I also Wrapped up the connection halfway through which disconnects the bulb from ballast wire for good measure. and the verdict. I can now listen to the radio Although, on the way too JayCar I decided I would try and see if the problem still persisted. I turned my HIDs on and off around 10 times throughout the trip and the radio didn't get affected (that I could tell).... So maybe one of the connections was bad, and me inserting the Plastic buffer today (requiring the wires to be disconnected from Ballast) has lead to a better connection and therefore no more interference.... Either way, I decided I would buy the stuff anyway and now the test will be home long it lasts Later tonight I will be adjusting the High/Low Beams (finally) now that everything is sorted with the HIDs.
