Just changed my axle. Car is ready (functionally) to go. Going to have to use my free time this week to get some cosmetics finished hahha.

Looks like my girlfriend couldn't get off from work, so I am probably going to need a place to crash. I have no problem folding the back seat down and sleeping in the back of my car even, just need a place to park haha. (Did that on the way back from the DWG meet last time. Won't ever try driving down to a meet and back in one day again >.<

Like the forecast for rain, there's about a 40% chance the V6 will be there. No worries, I'll be there nonetheless.

lol no worries, man. either myself or dustin have ya covered. no sleeping in the car needed. smile.gif

as of now, theres a slight chance of thundershowers during the day, but no biggie, Rudy (the owner of the maaco where i work), always offers his canopys to us for the weekend, he has 3 of them, so we will have plenty of dry space to cook, ect.
as always, its a rain or shine event! biggrin.gif

just an FYI for you guys that are new to the CSP meets, once you enter into Bristol, RI., I suggest taking your time, and not speeding too much, there are tons of cocksmoker cops and state troopers just looking to mess with out of towners, so just be aware.
once your in the park, please obey any signs you see. its a state park, and they are nice enough to allow us to park up in an area that is normally not accessable to cars, so please just keep it under control. no burnouts, ect. please.

Dustin and I have been discussing plans for the "after meet" events, and we have some basic ideas, but once we are all together at the park and hanging out, we will discuss things as a group and decide exactly what we are gonna do, depending on the weather, ect.

I'm super excited guys! 6 days!

You're gonna have a bad time, but the second you ask for a decibel meter, they back off. Keep it in neutral as much as possible. I'll be in the Saab more than likely, which attracts its own set of attention, so hopefully all the Celicas can cruise into the meet unscathed.

Really? You guys have problems with the police in RI?
I've never once had a problem with them and I "cruise" when I'm in RI....if you understand what I'm getting at.
Exhaust wise, never had a problem either.

As long as you guys are in a pack and aren't messing around, you shouldn't have a problem at all

I also remember pipes car was super loud and he didnt have an issue. Maybe being out of state will keep me safe as well. Your Saab can be the scapegoat!

I've got an old RC-10 somewhere with foam carpet racing tires. I don't think it is operational anymore though.

Anyone with previous experience going to the meet, are there a lot of potholes/manholes? I need to figure out if I need to raise the exhaust before the trip. I don't want to rip it off lol

There's a slim chance that the lady and I might be leaving Thursday night instead of Friday morning. Getting a head start FTW.

Just a reminder cause I'm not sure who, if anyone, is staying at me and Dustin's house but anyone who doesn't fit at Manny and Jenn's is welcome to stay at ours. We have two spare rooms, one with a full bed and one with a futon, a futon downstairs in Dustin's office, and two couches available... And plenty of parking lol

I'm driving my Saab. I might need to take you up on that offer lol. I haven't driven it more than 40 miles since I got it, and I know it has issues.

Anyone have experience with weird wheel wobble? It comes and goes depending on the road. Happens at anything above 50mph and sometimes doesn't happen at all. Tierod ends are old but still okay, tires are balanced (supposedly) and I've got two new axles now. Could it be an internal issue with the tires? Like the bands breaking? Trying to figure this out before the drive, and it only does it with these tires/wheels. I'm going to try swapping the rears with the fronts (they should be rotated anyway) and see what that does... But I'm trying to get ideas of what else to look for. Never have had an inconsistent shake before like this.
