Anyone think they can confirm this carb number on their injen SRI? I passed Cali smog with mine but my CARB EO# ended with the number 3 instead of 4. I looked up the carb number for celicas but it only matches the 7th gen. But what confuses me is that this one is IDENTICAL to mine but just different carb number and this for sure doesn't fit in a 7th gen. It also doesn't match up with any other 5sfe out there. So none of the 5sfe powered camry or mr2 matches it. Any thoughts?

Nope. Part numbers aren't on the intake itself. Its on the box it comes with. Which is what I just talked about with bill earlier about how stupid it was for injen to do that. Lol. Ima call injen tomorrow though.

Also what you pulled up is what I meant. None of those cars has a 5sfe in it.

Here's the link to a installation instructions that comes with our injen intakes. Our part number should be "IS2040P"

Maybe someone got the wrong carb sticker or stole it from another intake?

Sounds like a miss-label. I guarenter that's the cyborg for the 97-01 Camry 5SFE though. That's what's in my Celica and i originally bought if for my 99 Camry. The Celica cyborg angles different at the end.

Yea but like I said earlier. This carb number doesn't fit any 5sfe.

Either way, you're over-complicating it. Sell it to someone that doesn't live in CA... There are 49 other states full of people who could use this lol.

Cali is complicated. Lol. Its because it has the correct fittings, breather holes, and etc so.that it'll not mess up the emission system in Cali.

OK so it just mean it'll hook up the same as the factory air intake did.
So what if you have one that does all that but doesn't have that carb sticker? Does that mean it won't pass?

Yeap. In order to pass emissions you need C.A.R.B EO# sticker that determines the intake is safe for your year, make, and model of car. So for example my injen intake passed emissions test last november. If I remove just the sticker and take my car in for the test. Even leaving the injen logo sticker on there. It won't pass emissions test. It's either CARB sticker and pass or no CARB sticker and don't pass. Also note that this one that I posted up I need confirmation, just because it has the CARB sticker doesn't mean it'll pass. This one ends with a 4 and the only one's that's CARB legal for our 94-99 Celica GT is the ones that ends with 2 or a 3.

OK that makes sense.
So much effort put into an aluminum pipe an air filter lol.

Off topic kinda
How does this work with aftermarket/ custom exhausts?

For California. Its just as long as you still have the same amount of catalytic converters a stock exhaust would have. And also the o2 sensors must be functional and mounted at the same locations. Goes the same with exhaust header. You must need a carh sticker for the header. Only ones I've seen with a carb sticker is the ones made by DC racing for civics.

Makes sense the header needs to have it.
Kinda shocked the exhaust isn't more complicated tho.
