Ok....sooo....I know it's a bit late for me to start it but might as well do it now. Lol. I bought my 1997 Toyota Celica GT for $4,500 on February 27, 2012. It had 175,000 miles on the cluster. It was in very good condition. The only problem I had on it was it had a CEL light on. Which was just the speed sensor in the cluster not working. Replaced that and the CEL was cleared. Also my car didn't pass emissions test but I eventually had that fixed after running on premium and Lucas Cleaner. Overall I was more than happy to pay the overpriced $4500.
Winner of May 2014 COTM "This car is not about racing, this car is not about power; performance, it's purely about being cool." Previous Owner: http://www.6gc.net/members/9609 Very ricey and not my flavor. Here's a link to my FB album of my car. It has all of my pics of my silly97. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.2...0238&type=3 Here some things my car had on when I first bought it: Bone stock performance 7GC GTS Rims AG Lowering Springs JDM Tail lights Stock side skirts 2post spoiler Rear tinted windows Window stickers Here's what I've done to it so far: Performance Injen Short Ram Intake Suspension Megan Coilovers Ichiba Spacers 15mm and extended lug studs all around Eibach Camber Bolt Fender Rolled All Around Exterior 3k Hi halogen bulb 8k Lo HiD conversion 3k halogen fog light bulb Amber turn signal bulb Clear side lights TRD Roof Spoiler REPLICA(Hi-C) OEM SSIII front grill Tom's Front Lip REPLICA(Zonz540) Enkei RPF1 17x8 +45Front +35Rear Nankang NS1 205/40/17 Interior TRD Shift Boot SpreeLED White Gauge Lights GT4 Rear Strut Bar I do have a set of GT4 splitters that are waiting to be painted. The rest of my plans for my car is to get it repainted and installed with the gt4 splitters. I want to go wit the Supra Limited Edition Silver code 1B9. I also want to get a custom exhaust. I really want the JDM projectors also. We will see what else will be added onto my list as days goes by. Lol. Also I'm planning to keep my silly FOREVER!!! Looks great! if I wasn't in love with my 18s I'd be on this, the close ups of your front splitters has given me a case of the I wants though. I was going to get 18s but it's just a bit big for my style. I don't want to run lower profiles that I already am. California tends to like to "fix" their roads everyday. Lol. Ha those are the same rims as my Dad's GTR Really? Lol. These rims are becoming more hard to come by since they're discontinued. must have side profile shot.... Yes. It's a must have to show how flushed the wheels are. Lol. -------------------- |

I've always loved the classic look of these wheels. Lol. I love advans. I like them better on MR2's, but they're pretty nice on celicas too! I was kind of iffy about putting these on my car but the OEM three spoke looked so good on the gt4. Lol. -------------------- |

speaking of red, you need to paint your calipers black or something. the red just sticks out wayyy to much and is a little distracting.
side shot looks really good though! |

Yea I've been planning on repainting them blue or black or just plain grey. Just never really got to it. Too lazy to mask off everything and sand down the calipers. Lol. -------------------- |

You just had everything off for the conversion......could have easily done it then lol Yea I was actually going to do it but didn't have time. I only planned 2 days to do the conversion since this is my daily car. I spent 3-5 days doing the conversion instead. Skipped one day of class just to get it back on the road. hmm it seems this style of wheel belongs on an late 80's celica maybe 5th gen celica. Yeap. This wheel is made back in the 80s or early 90s. Kind of forgot. 3 spoke is not commonly seen anymore. Nowadays it's all about 5 or 6 spoke wheels. Or mesh wheels. -------------------- |
