5x114.3 conversion complete! What's left is to adjust my coilovers, put on my spacers, and my new wheels! Need this kit exactly! You mind sending me a link for this? It's so hard for me to figure thus stuff out but if you have done it then it makes it so much easier! -------------------- wow . teespring.com/savethemanual

^Sorry but there's no "kit" for the conversion. You just have to piece it together yourself. Here's the pic of the recommended pieces you should get. What's missing in the picture is the 2 front bearing dust covers and the 2 rear hub o ring. Also the shoe brakes are not needed but it's nice to do everything at once and replace it while you're in there already.

Let me ask you something... I might sound super dumb... Are GT Celicas equipped with rear wheel calipers or did you do the conversion. I've always had an ST. If this is true I have a nice ST for sale. :-(

If this is true I have a nice ST for sale. :-( I believe all GT and 25th anniversary ST editions had rear disks. The limitied edition might have it also. IF you don't have rear discs then you'll have to buy the parts for that conversion beforehand also. -------------------- |

GT's had disks all the way around and ST's had disks up front and drums in the rear. Even then the front disks and calipers are different between the two. It is possible to upgrade the ST to the GT's braking if you go up to 15's or bigger and have all the needed parts to do so. Not too terribly hard, I think the hardest part is redoing the emergency brake.
On a side note you can just go the easy route and get adapter spacers, convert and get the wheels a little further out all at the same time. This post has been edited by Box: Mar 30, 2014 - 12:57 AM -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

I'd agree with box. If I had a st to begin with. begin wouldnt do the pcd conversion just because it'll involve the rear disc conversion also. Just run 5x100 to 5x114.3 adapters. It'll cost you around $230 shipped for good quality ones. Only thing that sucks is that your wheel choice is still limited with adapters.

Thanks. I'm looking at a GT right now. My ST is bare bones with no power windows, power mirrors, sunroof, 4 wheel disc brakes, or cruise control and a slow 1.8 FA. Time to upgrade. It's hard to let go of your baby though. I might keep it for parts but the wife doesn't understand things like that.

Your car is much lighter without all the power windows and locks and etc. The 4age would be nice to build in a lighter 6gc. -------------------- |

Yeah, a GT is only maybe(just) a second quicker to 60 and the mpg plummets. They're great for swapping though, find a GT with a blown/sick motor and drop in a BEAMS, 1MZ, or 3S-GTE. The 4A and 4A-GZE could be used in a ST, but as to what all that entails I couldn't tell you. The 4A-GZE would be nice though...

I rather must get an aftermarket one. Plus its rare to find a used set for our cars. Lol. -------------------- |

Somebody just rewrapped the top and bottom parts white, while the rest of it looks stock. I have similar plans with my 7gen wheel, but just the opposite color theme -------------------- |
