It does suck... so now I'm probably up for $1k-2k in repairs for a car I'm selling in 6 weeks (And It means I won't be able to drive it for 2... what's the point!)

It only just started.... so going to try using some thick oil and babying it and selling it cheap rather than do the full repairs, but we'll see. I already had a full track day planned for the 25th April, another autocross next Sunday and was investigating happy-drags at Sonoma raceway.... but looks like none of that will be happening... :'(

It's 140k miles... so theoretically it is in the region where it happens... but for a beefy V8 you would expect it to last to 180-200k at least.

Like I said, it was rode hard and put up wet to dry. Those engines see well into 200-300K+ with just general maintenance. Then again most are also coupled to automatics, I'd be willing to bet someone over-revved the Hell out of it. Throw in some 20W-50 with a bottle of Bardahl's Stop Smoke and that's about as thick as you can get, that should get it to back off.

Today I finally got my jdm power folding mirrors to work! All it took was a lot of time and two sets of mirrors.

I've had mine for months... I need to install blinkers in them. Then the whole pain taking off my custom door cards.

I would have had my second pair in sooner but I had to make a harness for it.

Nah they add too much weight. I'll just take them off to increase my mpg abs performance. Got to live that JDM life.

Side mirrors are so dated, just remove them completely for more aerodynamic proficiency.

Why? To buy quality braided line it's not worth it unless it's a track car. Better places to spend money.

The late model ones (They are both out of '98 SSIII's). I have the control panel for the door with the brain built in but they didn't give me the pigtail for the other side of the connector to splice it into my factory loom frown.gif So I just left it for a while (I have had a lot on my plate, lol tongue.gif).

Pedal feel does improve with braided lines. The rubber lines tend to expand, where the braided lines can't, so you have better brake pressure. Well worth it for a car that occasionally sees track days, but really only gives better pedal feel for a DD. I'll be upgrading soon.

Friday, broke 190,000 miles...only 10k more.

Yesterday, I drove about 30 miles to do errands.

Today, I will wipe off the pollen that's been collecting on it.
