hey man, sorry to hear about your job. regarding joining the air force, I don't think now is a particularly good time. we are on the verge of war, and once that ends we will most likely have another round of 'peace-keeping' or whatever bush wants to call it. odviously I don't know what your situation is, because I'm not you, but seeing as you've come so far on your Celi project already, why not go through with it? get another job to hold you over, and stick it out... it'll be worth it in the end!

Why not hold off on your celica project (so you can save up some money if you need it), get a decent job (may not be as high paying as the warehouse but its a job) keep taking classes in college, maybe even get a 2 year degree or something until you can find another good job.

Heh man, I'm a US Marine. Now I love what I do but its diffirent for everyone. I only say this because the armed forces don't really take well to those that are only 50-50 on the commitment. I'm not trying to down you. I'm just saying that this is one of those cross road decisions. Make sure your joining for the right reasons, thats a big step. Once your in, YOU ARE IN. If you join then God speed and maybe you might just be one of the guys that protect us on the ground Just don't join because of bad luck. I'm done running my mouth

Dude...i seriously wouldn't do it right now if i were you. I know it seems like you're at your last resort right now but trust me there are other things out there. I was in the same position not too long ago so i know how ya feel. People bounce back dude...i damn sure did. just cause you're down right now don't go join up with something you might not even like and get stuck in it...that'll just make things worse. But if you really wanna join, more power to ya. I've grown up around the military all my life

Well Im right now In AFROTC. Its not a bad life, but make sure that you are doing it for the right reasons. Well the AF is the best of all the services because when we do go to war you will more than likely be away from the front line fighting. You would be in another nation working on something, unless you go and be a PJ or a combat controller then you will be seeing action. But if you went in now you won't see any action in Iraq unless you go in as a peacekeeper. If you have any other ? just ask.

Good to go man. Maybe you'll be stationed in Okinawa, Japan like I was(this was before I bought my celica), then you'll be able to buy all your mods cheap. If I had only known then I would've spent less for what I'm doing now. I'm glad you made up your mind, and just to let you know most bases are now building paint shops. There's one being built here at Parris Island. Thats Marine boot camp. I know because I'm a Drill Instructor. Which is funny cause if you had chosen the Corp, I might have trained you
