Hey guys I've been thinking about possibly doing a gt4 hybrid, but then I came across this. What do you think? It almost gives the celica a more modern (today) look. I think.

The only thing I don't like are the side skirts. I think I would go GT4 for that.

By gtfour do you mean the OEM skirts? probably wouldn't flow very well as the rear bumper is pretty low.
IMO, when it comes to exterior parts, keep it OEM. TRD, SS III or something of the sorts. Anything else just looks bad, but thats my opinion.

If you like it then go for it. It's your car, build it for what you like, not what others like. There are a ton of GT4 and SS-III replicas.

Of course I will say I like because I love body kits and their unique style that they bring to any car not just Celicas

I do like it. I found it on www.madmotors.co.uk and they ship to the states. My only hesitation are the sides. They just don't fit right in my opinion. That is why I was thinking GT4 - they look lower t me.
Thanks for the info though. I'm going to mull it over a little more.

yea shipping is probably going to kill you coming from Uk.
When I was looking into parts from YellowChinaMan (i think thats the username) the shipping was more than the items.

Are they Mazda wheels? tongue.gif

Kit looks a lot better than most - I don't mind it at all and I would say go for it, but it is going to cost you a fortune so make sure you work that all out first.

And the style of the rear wing and rear visor change between shots too...

You also have to ask yourself what happens, if the parts don't fit perfectly.
You return them? They'll ask for you to pay shipping.
File a PP claim, but they intentionally took a lot of time on shipping, so it's pass 45 days?
Spend hundreds more to fit properly?

i think that kit looks the nuts, if you like it get i like it, and i think you should get it, but fitting is always tricky. i bought a vielside kit for my old st, it kinda fit but there were loads of gaps you could get your fingers in. them skirts are designed to match the front bumper styling so i rekon you should stick with them..

thanks guys. I'm definitely leaning towards it. I have to call them to see if the offer the roof spoiler as an option. I haven't seen 1 like that before. I use to have the jdm plastic 1 you can see through. Then I ended up ripping it off when the screws rusted straight threw.

A body kit will definitely change the cool factor on how it looks. I put a body kit on a different Toyota of mine and had a lot of issues. Speed bumps irritated me, drainage gutters next to sidewalks were so low that it caused me to bottom out, always scraping on the bottom in too many places on the road, fitment issues caused a lot of extra work, and one little tap caused cracks in the fiberglass. I really liked the looks of my kit, but the proximity to the road was too close. I ended up taking a 3 1/4 inch section out of all 4 pieces so that it was not so low, and I was able to retain a different look.

Full body kit:

Sectioned kit:

With the sectioned kit, I have ground clearance and it still retains the custom look.
