Removing the badges was the second best exterior modification I did, the first was removing the ugly generic antenna.

Lol yeah the standard antenna used to annoy me so much! got a bee sting on at the moment. there's a hole on my back box and it sounds like a damn moped. gna have to replace it soon. do u know what size I need as I'm lookin to get a universal fartbox so it atleast sounds a lil louder than the whimper it has now. maybe a savage one? -------------------- "whoever said progress was a slow process... was probably talking about me" |

2" or 2.25" was factory. Get a baffled muffler so you don't sound like a humbled bee.

On my way to go get the exhaust checked
edit: just had it checked. the joints have corroded away on the rear and mid sections. will need both sections now. also Cat might not be saved as the joints on that section are corroded 2. might aswel get a SS one or something so any suggestions for a full exhaust and prices etc? Yesterday, I broke 192,000 miles - I've put 30k on the rebuilt engine in 2 years.
Today, I went to Pull-A-Part and looked at the 94 GT they got in on Friday. This post has been edited by Keiri: Jun 22, 2014 - 9:17 AM -------------------- Has no more Celicas

Baffled mufflers have walls, baffles, in them that divert the frequencies and remove harshness from the tone. As far as exhaust goes using galvanized steel will be fine, and should be considerably cheaper. This post has been edited by Box: Jun 22, 2014 - 3:08 PM -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

SS downpipe is 70. midsection is 80 and backbox (universal with a 2" inlet and a 3.5" tuneable outlet) is 50. can pick up a cat converter for 70ish aswel so it's pretty cheap. galvanised steel 1s maybe cheaper but I have a lot of difficulty finding them unfortunately. -------------------- "whoever said progress was a slow process... was probably talking about me" |

My local shop uses galvanized as standard and stainless on request. Doesn't sound like too bad a deal then, especially if you plan to keep the car for some time. my car is almost ready And the townspeople rejoice! -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed
