Just to let you know, to borrow any shelters there to BBQ we will need a permit if there is more than 25 people.

$63 to "rent" a small grove and shelter with no bathroom... and reservations must be made 21 business days prior to event date.

We need to figure out the exact head count. If we have less than 25 attendees, we should be fine without getting a permit.

with the list getting smaller and smaller, i'm pretty sure we have less than 25.

There is also blackwell forest. It's a bit south of Arlington Heights.

@41.8285266N,88.1786486W

There's still a permit fee but we only need 3 days notice.

But Ned Brown Preserve that Chris mentioned will have more open space.

If there isn't going to be that many people (less than 25), Chris' spot 42°02'03.5"N 88°00'56.8"W is better I think.

And if that spot has visitors before us, we can always relocate to a more secluded area.

There are enough places in the area to chow. I think its just a meet-up/cruise around this time since there are so few of us.

I'll update the first post now.

Do we have a time frame?
I'm super busy Saturday but since I missed the last couple gatherings, I will try my best to squeeze my "6gc-family-time" in there somehow.

BTW, I checked out the spot last night.
Enough space for everyone's car and plenty of space in the shelter but keep in mind that there will be a lot of other people going in and out.
