So today I replaced all the speakers in the car and also put a new sub box in so I now also have a sub... wooh!
Started with a work area: Cut out some wood and painted in black for the 8" - 6.5" adapter for the fronts. Then while the paint dried we used araldite to stick the Tweeters to the stock brackets: Since it is a crappy cold and wet day, we had some Kebabs for lunch as the glue and paint dried. As we started testing the speakers and tweeters in the front this chilled guy appeared, he started watching us and we gave him some food. Came all the way into the garage too... Also decided to sound deaden the back of the front speakers, and Sikaflex the wood to the plastic: Got started on the rear of the car... Other that the annoying trim removal, the rear is way easier... No adapters needed: As we were tidying up, my friend arrived and brought me a new (old) sub box and sub to play with. I removed the Sony one from the box, and put my Soundstream in. (My box doesn't fit under the strut bar). We wired her up and put it in the boot, firing upwards as the sub wont fit any other way. Speakers sound mad now, sub is also way deeper and no rattling like the last box. Will get better photos later once the door cards are back in, next job is finding a decent drivers door card and putting the vincent_doggy leather on it -------------------- ------------------------------| White '94 Celica | Bought 11/05/12 | Sold 12/05/15 |------------------------------ |

So, got my door cards back today. Looking mad.
We got hit with a torrential downpour, so gonna have to delay install until it passes (Meant to pass on saturday). Also got a few pieces coming from The_enD, eagerly awaiting that! And finally, found myself on google street view, only took two years since last year I was either working or at tafe when they passed lol: This post has been edited by rentaspace: Aug 26, 2014 - 9:02 PM -------------------- ------------------------------| White '94 Celica | Bought 11/05/12 | Sold 12/05/15 |------------------------------ |

Lol funny thing about spiders as I was just telling Ryan today,
I got in the car yesterday to find my drivers side air vent full of cob webs and flashed a light inside the vent and saw like 3 spiders in there so I promptly took the vent out and threw it away.. Not touching it again Ill get a new one from a car yard but no way will I attempt to clean that, for now just gonna drive around without a vent -------------------- |

Got my package from The_enD. The rear license plate bezel was installed straight away!
Before: After: Unfortunately, and this is no fault of The_enD, but the Cluster Bezel broke a tab during transit... It actually appears that in transit something very heavy was put on top of my package, and caused a slight bend in the boxes... Anyway, such is life. I will have to do some modification to repair the tab or find a way to mount without it, but either way my goal is to have it on this weekend. -------------------- ------------------------------| White '94 Celica | Bought 11/05/12 | Sold 12/05/15 |------------------------------ |

I just have to say this to you good sir,
this picture is AMAZING The sound of your car is everything I imagined my car would sound like, I listened to it twice because that sound is just perfect, especially the idle. -------------------- Brand new 6gc owner! (sort of 2011)

Thanks! The exhaust is a 2.25" Resonator-Back Exhaust with an X-FORCE Muffler, It cost $250 Installed. It gives a nice sound at idle, and doesn't get too loud when driving or accelerating which is exactly what I told the shop to do (It's designed so that it sounds meaner, while not pissing off the car sitting next to you). wait, where did you get those door cards redone like that? those are freakin sweet. So started off the weekend with a lot of personal issues... Anyway, to get my mind off everything, I began working on installing the damaged bezel.
Before (Stock Bezel): I took the bezel out of my car, and inside removed the stock plastic and inner bezel. Whole process took about 10mins, including removing the bezel from the car. After, I then looked at how the new bezel installed. Luckily, that the tab that snapped is right where the screws go in, so the tab doesn't matter. Awesome! Screwed and clipped the new bezel in and back out to the car... It wouldn't fit... Because the new bezel is longer than the stock one, it doesn't 'slide' in like the old one does, so I had to disassemble it again in my car and screw the cluster in with no bezel. The try and squeeze the new bezel in, again it didn't work and I accidentally snapped another tab... oops... Luckily not an important one. I then removed the steering wheel covers, and that allowed me enough clearance to fit the bezel in, and snap it clicked in. I dropped one of the screws so only a single screw is holding the bezel on, but it 'aint movin'. Here is the after shot: Personally, I think it brings the car forward another few years inside. And the custom blue matches the seatcovers great! Big thanks to The_enD! -------------------- ------------------------------| White '94 Celica | Bought 11/05/12 | Sold 12/05/15 |------------------------------ |

I warned you to use a magnetic screw driver. I also warned you to first put the cluster, then my bezel.
Looks great! -------------------- |
