Get an older Rav4 (the frog looking ones) and swap a 3S-GTE into it with 4WD, it'll be crazy fun!

NO. I hate having to drive the Durango, I don't like being so high up off the ground.

I've just gotten so used to sitting only a few inches off the ground though, and I've never been a fan of trucks/SUV's or vans regardless of size.

Nothing wrong with a little ground clearance. It's nice to have it in snow and rain.

Actually one of the rare two door 4Runners with the 22-RE and 5-speed in this colour I could go for:

Of course I'd have to drop it at least 4 inches or so...

If you're going to drop a truck you get a truck to drop like a Toyota pickup or a MightyMax, drop and turbo with a LSD rear and some sticky tires. They weigh almost nothing so 250 modest hp/tq gets you moving fast in a hurry and both the 22RE and 4G64 with a turbo have a torque curve so flat you could set a place for 4 and eat dinner at that table.

I liked the utility aspect of the 4Runner though, trucks are only great for carrying things you don't care about getting wet.

I think I'm going to try for a fourth gen as it was what I was going for the first time around but I never found one aside from that red hardtop 6-speed, and then the owner never got back to me so when the '79 was found I ended up buying it instead. Maybe a third gen if the right one came along, not really sure. That or I'll go with another MKIII Supra, a SC300, or the 280Z(X) if I go back with Japanese cars.

Suppose to have someone off eBay getting the Miata this weekend, and then maybe can work something out with the older gentleman on the Firebird I can live with and then I can start the whole shopping nonsense again. Woo...

Maybe the old guy buying the Fbird knows someone selling what you're looking for?

Oh yeah, had forgot about the X-Runner. There was also the SRT10 from Dodge, and I think there was the SS from Chevrolet. Ford had the Lightning but they were automatic only.

I liked the blue one. Will have to get everything sold first though before I buy anything unless it's $4,000 or less.

QUOTE (Box @ Jul 21, 2015 - 5:50 PM) *
SRT10 from Dodge

Drove one with a Hurst shifter last week, quite a lot of truck.

Do the TacoX, it is almost perfect, as much so as could be in your situation, with the exception of lacking two cylinders.
