No joke!!! A tree fell on my car!

A tree in Hollywood fell on my car when it was parked off Santa Monica Blvd. The tree dented the roof, broke the sunroof, and crushed the front drivers side fender The city tree removers broke the windshield while removing the tree. The GT engine and transmission work great! I've taken really good care of the car mechanically: recent new timing belt, water pump, brakes, hoses, tires, etc and was planning on having it repaired to continue driving it, but the insurance totaled it because of its age so I bought another car.

So after debating whether or not to keep it I've decided to let it go.

Here are the details:

Car now has a salvage title
Engine starts right up and runs great
Transmission is in good running order
Electronics work
The rest of the body is in good condition.

This could be repaired and driven as a daily driver or if you need a stock GT motor and/or transmission that are in very good working order with regular service records this might be just what you're looking for.

Title is in my name and in hand.

Come by, start it up, and check it out.

The first $1200 cash or decent offer can drive the car up on their trailer and take it home!

Wait -- it's not? What is it, then? There was this part (circled) that isn;t in my '94 GT or any of the other replacement cars I looked at. A friend said he thought it was a Turbo, so that's why I posted that. Just wondering what it actually is.

Thanks!

ABS system.

My first '99 (built in April '99) has it but my second one (built in Feb '99) doesn't.

I'd say scrap it or part it out is the best choice. Nothing really valuable I see on the car except for maybe the steering wheel only. Everything else you can find in most standard 6gc in Cali.

Smart friend. Sounds like the Honda guy who told his turbo Audi friend to sandblast the engine by hooking up a bag of fine grit sand to the intake & let the engine run.

probably anti lock brake module but it's hard to see in the picture.

Too bad you don't live in Juneau Alaska. I have a rear-ended celica with a good hood and roof and just about all the parts to make yours happy again. The big problem is the shipping costs. so I sit on it waiting to afford to fix it.
