$60 for the 2 pairs for the Mazda, not unreasonable. Not ideal for all housings.

Last time I checked it was $20 or so each, so that's a little better. That was the other thing is if no one else has tried it out I'd be rolling dice.

We're still talking about LED bulbs right? Show me the housings and I can make some good suggestions on what kind may work excellent in there. I've used a few kinds.

Last night, washed my Mazda. Today clayed and waxed it, much better and ready for daily driving torture instead of the Celica. Need to run the gas out of it so I can replace the fuel tank which has a leak at the top. Got the tank in the trunk all painted with bed liner and ready to install.

And now both cars safely parked in for the night with enough room to get in/out of them both.

Yep I was. Odds are it'll be a NB1 Miata, I doubt at this point I'll find a decent 4th gen locally as every one I've seen so far has been abused. That and I can't remember the last time I saw a MKIII Supra or MR2, and I've never seen a SC300. Anything else I won't really like at all so I'll just deal with being slightly cramped.

Ironically I just found this before I was going to post: http://bham.craigslist.org/cto/5158575022.html Mileage is on the high side though, but it seems to be in good shape otherwise. I'd hate to know how much of a pain it'd be to install a new A/C compressor in it though...

AC compressor is really really easy to change....when you're swapping in a 3S-GTE.

I was thinking more along the lines of the 1MZ. I was going to look up the procedure to see how much of a pain it is, which it's probably a big one, but today was a bad day so I'll be looking now. That's ok I can't really do much of anything until I sell the damn Firebird, I don't want my hands tied up more than what they already are.

Not this one. The owner is Gary who has been a long time member over on Alltrac.net it's sad to see it for sale to be honest. If I had the money I would buy in a heartbeat, but who needs two Alltracs laugh.gif

There was another one that was same year and black and came with a bajillion parts, writeup was similar too. Perhaps coincidence I guess. That's ok in order to buy something in that range it'll require selling the Firebird. Which I just checked and there's 26 watchers and 1,300 views with two days left, still not the first message or offer...

I can't find much of anything on replacing the A/C compressor, but from one post I saw on a turbo car it sounds like a royal pain and that only the oil line for the turbo was the difference. From what it sounded like it's wedged in there between the bulkhead/firewall and the side of engine bay, fun fun... That and from another post apparently they're rare and hard to find as well, that's ok I really need to sell the Firebird first anyway... Just sucks one would show up, and it not be red, when I'm not ready to buy yet. I rather have it over a Miata, at the least it'd be a new experience and not a convertible. Plus they have the same shoulder room as the Celica and it was livable since my shoulder only brushed the panel and wasn't buried into it. OH and the seats in the MR2 are much better than those in the Miata, plus the MR2 is cooler. Anyway...

Set the rear LPF to 120 and inverted the phase, now it sounds like I have a sub in the trunk of the Mazda but I don't. Not sure I like it, I'll keep listening for a few days like this.

For some reason I'm overwhelmingly depressed. 31 watchers, over 1,700 views and only some 6 hours left and still nothing. I don't get it, at all... Actually I know why I'm depressed and it's weird in a way. For one it feels like no one wants the car, and that kind of hurts. I also found out my one option of possibly being able to fix it myself isn't an option anymore, so there's that. I wish I could fix it, but I can't. Even if I had that option open to me I'm just not physically capable anymore, the last week or so I've done well enough to just get up and halfway deal with the world. When I bought it I was under illusions of grandeur that I'd get better and I'd be able to do everything needed. If I do sell it it, which is my only option now, that'll be upsetting on its own as if I had money falling out of my orifices I'd just take it to one of those renowned restoration shops to make it exactly how I want it. I'm not really head over heels on the cars I'd be buying to replace it either, with exception to a 4th gen Firebird maybe and even then it's just not the same. It's impossible to find a nice one though.

If I wasn't a worthless cripple I'd have just fixed it over a month ago. So now I'm just stuck, nothing new there.
