Hi
Just bought a gt4 and on the way home my dad decided to try and put oil in the charge cooler, it's only a small amount but am a few hours from home and the engine light has come on? What can I do? Any help please |

First make sure, the engine light is on because of the charge cooler. This is how you check the light 3sgte repair tips
If it's a code 54, then yes, that is your cooler. Check to see if the level sensor is connected. Other than that, drain, clean, and refill all the components with coolant.. -------------------- |

Thank you, got it home and will be flushing it today, cheers for your reply it was code 54 and it was the coolant level i believe, my dad neglected to mention that he had used a load of towel to remove the oil and hence the level was lower than it should have been, typical as knowing that it could have been an far quicker resolution

After you flush it out you may find that the code can come back in cold weather.
when you have the cap off and you're filling it up, blip the throttle to get the pump started and the level will go down a bit....then fill it some more. |
