I just wanted to start hearing some reviews on your suspension mod to get a feel for what works and what doesn't. Also what should a avoid.

I tried kyb g2 with Trd lowering springs it road really well and handled good but wasn't as low as I wanted to go. the struts ran me 240ish for all 4 via Amazon. The 4 new strut mounts ran me 175$ and the Trd springs ran me 240 I think. I got everything brand new. Most people buy Megan coilovers, they are cheap and lower your car well and handle better than 100k mile used struts. Either way your car is 15+ years old so don't spend an arm and a leg on it lol. If your struts are junk it's cheaper to buy Megan's than anything else. Will they last 100k miles? Prob not but you get what you pay for haha. They are like 600-700$

I just what the thread to be an open discussion about personal experiences with the suspension products and setups people have to help others know what actually works. I just don't want it to be about me. But your right, your personal suspension depends on part on what your looking for, looks or performance. Then what type of performance.

First off I need to replace my Celica's suspension it's old, worn, and blowen up. I love handing and driving dynamics but I have a modest budget. The setup I'm leaning towards is KYB struts with Eibach springs, but I still can't really decide between H&R or Eibach springs. The consensus online seems to be Eibach is a little softer then the H&R which are firmer. Tire Rack has did a cool comparo http://www.tirerack.com/suspension/tests/eibach_hr_rd.jsp
Still deciding. With all the research online I have been doing, looking for different setups hopefully I can help update those sections on the forum

I sold my celica, H&R are good springs. I had them on my mr2 I loved them I had them paired with kyb g2 as well. Trd is made by ebiach in the USA. So ebiach is almost the same as the Trd lowering springs. Million dollar question is do you have **** roads in your town? If you do than choose the spring accordingly lol. If I had a celica and started from scratch I'd get koni yellows and ebiach springs probably. Also if you get kyb g2 struts make sure you get the mount as well. You can get the kyb G2 struts off amazon for 240ish for all 4. Mounts run you 50$ish each. If you buy them from advanced auto (mounts or struts) order online and in store pick up or ship to home and use code trt30 it gives you 30% off of orders 50$ or more. Koni yellows will run you twice as much as kyb but also have a lifetime warranty and are adjustable. If you plan to keep your car for a long time than think about koni if you think you'll get rid of it or get tired of it choose kyb for the price.

Thanks for the review. The roads around the place where I work are as if they got hit by a 7.5 quake, the roads around my house are smooth. So thats why Im leaning towards Eibach. If I had more $$ I would go for the Koni's...may be in the future.

I have kyb gr2 shocks and mounts with eibach sport line springs. Love the setup. You get a nice firm upgrade in handling while remaining comfortable for daily driving. The roads in my town are pretty crappy and the setup has remained solid. Going on 3 years now I think and I'd recommend.
