From the power steering pump ? Use your old one.

Thanks...it just occurred to me. You don't think straight after 2 bloody fingers and bruising when working in the garage 3 hours.

No Bueno!!!

Yeah. I knew my flex pipe was leaking a bit but this doesn't sound like it's coming from there. I'm hoping it's just the manifold gasket.

I developed a gross one a while back - turned out I had a great crack along the seam where the resonator goes into the final leg of the exhaust before the muffler itself. $40 for my local shop to weld it back shut.

Pretty sure I've actually tracked it down to the flex pipe. From inside the cabin it sounded like it was coming from the manifold/header, but after listening from the engine bay it sounds like the flex pipe. Gonna order a new one and have it welded in soon.

Best way to find and exhaust leak is to have someone with a large towel plug the tail pipe. the noise will amplify a great deal where the leak is coming from biggrin.gif

Replaced the front and rear motor mounts on my 98 vert. What a bitch. I ended up calling my mobile mech to finish since it was such a pain. But night and day difference now.

But last week, I got a new top put on. Car looks 5x better. I also ordered both driver and passenger rear window mounting plates and will be putting those on in a week or two. Next up: timing belt (and associated parts) replacement, exhaust manifold gasket replacement, and new vert top motors.

Does anyone know / have basic schematics on how to adjust the top?
