yesterday I was driving around and I realised that my tempature guage was a bit above normal, and rising, so naturally I pulled over to find a 2 inch crack in the top of my radiator. I filled it back up with water and it seems to hold prety well, but the water is slowly leaking out onto the radiator.
I was just wondering what radiator to get, a new toyota radiator is like 470$. Iv seen koyo radiators on the forums alot, but are they worth it? Id like to keep it under 200$ if possible. Autozone had one for 140$, but something tells me its crap. How hard are they to install, Iv never had to deal with my cooling system before. Thanks in advance, David Also if anyone has a carfax account I would realy apreshate it if they looked up my car and sent it to my emai, levathan1@yahoo.com. Silla Radiators are premium radiators that is made of Aluminum Core painted in black and are built to last longer than OEM. They are twice the cooling the OEM has and only costs 120 shipped. The reason why they cost less is becuz they are aftermarket radiators. I even talked to the sales person and they recommended that radiator even though it costs lesser than the one I was going to buy from them. He told me that aftermarkets costs lesser than OEM replacements but are for performance purposes. The eBay Aluminum Koyo Radiators are also Aluminum but is Aluminum welded. They both are about the same thing. After I installed the Silla Radiator in, I notice a big difference in throttle response and my engine is way cooler than before. Even ask Taylor. We both went to a car wash and cleaned out our engine bays. He has a OEM radiator and his car was twice as hotter than mine and I've been driving my car all day long before we both even met up and washed our cars. But anyway, here's the link if you are interested.

Installing a Radiator isn't hard at all. It's basically bolt off and bolt on. You need the radiator to be cool before removing it becuz you don't want to burn your hands.
I hope this quick-through helps. I don't have any pictures considering that I did it two months ago. Enjoy. This post has been edited by ExSane: Oct 9, 2006 - 1:33 AM -------------------- |

Good evening guys. I know this is a 10 year thread. I actually ended up here from a Google search of my VIN. So its seems that Vissi sold this car some years back and i ended up with it. I just thought that was pretty cool and that i could let people knownthat it is still around and kicking. Not quite as nice shape but its in good hands with me and will be brought back to better shape.
