Had to buy a new ISCV for the Celica today. It went from 95% functional to completely done in the span of about 4 miles. Can't have a car that wants to idle at 4K rpm.

Today I am going to get an alarm installed on my new truck. I know, I know... I could have rebuilt the Celica 3 times over for what I paid for the Truck, but honestly... I was getting tired of hauling the kayaks with the Scion. lol!
I got it a week ago. IMO, I feel like I got a hell of a deal. I did my research, called around and got the lowest price OTD (out the door) from several dealerships. My original plan was to get a SR5 model with the bare necessities, but it didn't work out the way I planned. Mainly because I had to order it like that from the factory and it was taking too long. And thank god that it did. While I was at Fort Bend Toyota mere minutes from going into finance to sign on a 2016 Toyota Tundra TRD Off-Road 4x4 for 44,500 OTD... I got a call from Gene Shannon at Atkinson Toyota in Madisonville. He told me that he could beat that deal, so I told him to talk fast. He spoke with his manager and came back with an offer. 2016 Toyota Tundra TRD Off-Road 4x4 w/ pocketed fender flares, and leather for 41,000 OTD. The salesmen at Fort Bend Toyota thought it was bull**** until I showed them a picture of a written offer. I left, and immediately went to Atkinson Toyota, where I added the 7yr-100k mile warranty and walked out paying 42,391. IMO, I got a great deal. It was the end of November, the Wednesday after Black Friday, and a 2016... not 2017 with 104 miles after being transported overnight. Now... I have something to haul Celica parts in. WHOOT! |

Except for now there's no money to buy Celica parts. For buying a new vehicle I think you got a good deal, your truck must've been his sale needed to meet quota and/or get a huge bonus.

Well, I paid cash for the truck... so since I dont have a truck note... Ill be able to save for the celica parts. I think a big portion of the "deal" I got was because I went outside of Harris county to purchase the vehicle. The sales tax in Walker county is 2% lower than it is here in Harris county. Other than that... I think you might be right. This post has been edited by Overkill: Dec 8, 2016 - 10:01 PM |

These dont have have a company name according to the seller. I spoke with him yesterday he replied to my messages quickly. He said there is no rust. That price converts to $237. Shipping shouldn't be more than $50. You can tell it has stainless flanges because the original one is shaped differently.

Today I ......
found my Celica. It hurts to see. From my research I concluded it only made it 5 months after I sold it in September 2012. I also noticed that the motor was changed. I had 390k+ on the original when it was sold. -------------------- ◊◊◊ My F/S Thread! ◊◊◊

First post in just over three years? BAN! How'd you find it? Partout?!?!?!?!?! I found a free vin checker site, so I decided to see if she was still around. I was sure that car would never die. On the report, it was classified as "junk" and after some medium-intensity web browsing I found the auction website where it was listed four years ago. I can only assume it was still up so I could come across it. I had to do some back-end website "browsing" in order to collect all of the photos without jumping through their hoops. That's some good detective work! I suppose I won't ban you then. Sad to see it in that condition though.

Today I sold my Celica. After 5 years 2 months and 15 days of driving a fine car. I was very pleased with it and enjoyed the build. Thank you everybody for your advise and support when I asked questions here. I might come back to sell a few items in case you are interested in them.

Had I not sold mine it'd be five years this February. I miss it, but at least I still see it from time to time around town.
