Howdy,
I'm looking for a motor to drop in a vert I have, and apparently the Camry motor from 2000 isn't compatible. So, I'm back to the drawing board to see what I can find. Let me know if you have one sitting around; or if you're getting ready for a swap and going to pull one. Needs to be 96+ as it's for a 97. |

I have an extra 1 I was planning on keeping for a spare, but might consider parting ways with it. How much were u thinking? |

How about a 3rd gen 3SGTE ? with all the parts needed for conversion plus Solara V6 tranny ? I am in IL near Chicago so not too far of a drive I really need to sell this car, It wouldnt take much to make it driveable again (havent been started in a few months, and needs exhaust past the flex pipe). If your celi shell is in good shape it would be an awesome project!

If you can do some mechanic work you don't need a 96+.
I'm assuming you have your old motor? which means you have your old wiring harness. which means you have your old exhaust manifold. which means you have your old oil pump. if you have your old motor, swap out the oil pump so it has the crank position sensor housing and the sensor. Swap out the wiring harness. Swap out the exhause manifold. Reconnect all the plugs and voila. i used a 94 5sfe engine to replace my 97 3sfe engine in my rav 4. It was the same process, just have to change some parts out. The block is identical. enjoy -------------------- |
