^ This. I used to have 17 but these body shapes need some rubber. 15 and 16 is lovely on these cars. smile.gif Looks good Chee.

I too like sidewall hence the 17's on the Firebird and not the rubber bands most people go to.

I don't disagree. In fact I do like sidewall as well. maybe the 16s on a 7th gen just get hidden by it's body shape and styling like Bitter mentioned above.

ok, so the celi's gonna be in storage in my super cool unheated barn. I've had it in my parents garage before and it's been fine but that was much more closed off and sealed. The barn garage is airy and old but sturdy. What are my must-do's for storing it?

I've pumped up the tires, gonna give it a wash and either use a tarp or buy me a new car cover. I'll have the battery off and on a tender. throw some fuel stabilizer in the gas tank. using mothballs in the barn (not in the car) and laundry sheets (in and around the car) because they smellz good.

any pointers? also, would u recommend putting the car on jacks or just pump extra psi's in the tires?

flat spotting depends on the tires, my Z2's flat spot a little if it sits but it's not any different from a week to 6 months. If in doubt pull them off and put it on blocks. Mice suck and are not deterred by moth balls, they WILL get in there somehow unless you wrap it like a boat. I used a 50ft by 50ft tarp that I parked on top of and folded it up like a big present over the car which seemed to keep them out of the car, I never found any holes chewed in it. I also vacuumed it out prior so there was nothing to tempt them and......I put traps around it, snap and bucket traps. Bucket traps ****ing rock, google them, kind of grisly but super effective. I ended up modding the directions using lidded bucket with PB smeared on the underside and a small hole cut in the middle. Mice go in and never come out.

Ah yes tailpipe. Will do
And will need to get me a big enough tarp.
Will be setting traps. I had a bucket trap earlier this year but didnt catch much. Will set it out again since its colder now.

If it were me I'd get an inexpensive car cover with a microfiber or some other textile lining then do the tarp like Bitter mentioned, then you don't have to worry about scratching and marring the paint from the tarp rubbing on the car. That or maybe cheap big towels or sheets etc... since the tarp will cover and keep in place anyway. As far as mouse prevention the best solution is to get a cat, mice won't come anywhere near where a cat has been.

but i have a cat. its part of my exhaust so thats good. wink.gif
i've heard some say cats scent will deter mice but also heard that cats are lazy and DGAF about catching mice and will let them do whatever. lol but will definitely set up a bucket trap at the least.

When we had cats mice were never a problem but without them we do, and it varies from cat to cat just like some people like hunting and some don't. I do know they really like peanut butter though like Bitter mentioned.
