https://goo.gl/maps/2D9dtdbKk452 Yes, I know it's a little too early to plan any shenanigans but unfortunately there's no time like the present. Our house will be listed for sale next month and when it sells, Brigette is kicking me out and making me move 1,000 miles away. After that, it will be very difficult to make it to another Midwest Meet.  She will eventually be following me, of course, and after that we will be lucky to make it to one meet every year or two. I doubt if our house will sell next month so we can plan this meet for April or whenever works best for everyone, but we will almost certainly not be able to make a summer meet.

So I know a really cool place to hike around, but it's much nearer to Pizza than it is to the meet and sadly is otherwise unsuitable for a car meet.
http://www.mediafire.com/convkey/a1c9/vj5iw3v8z53mgenzg.jpg It's now called Midewin Prairie, but it's the former site of the Joliet Army Ammunition plant and storage bunkers. Most of the bunker fields are open to the public for hiking/exploring. While not a good place for a meet, if anyone is ever around that way near Wilmington I highly suggest you pop in and walk around some. Wilmington has some good eats too, a nice day trip or something, great area if you're into photography! -------------------- |

I'm planning on going back out to the bunkers this weekend since it'll be nice, if anyone wants to meet up I can post the spot when I get home. Probably going to be out ther long enough to get a late lunch over in town. I don't think any of you are particularly near by though.
