Just order brand new pads and rotors from r1 concepts. Received my gauge pod cluster and gauges for the dash and waiting on some other goodies to come in soon. Does anybody happen to know the paint code for the TRD strut bar by any chance?

Let me know how you like the rotors and pads, my brother was looking into getting brakes from them.

Hey Box,

I love the R1 Concepts setup I put on the Silver Celica, stops on a dime and looks good too. The pricing was rather competitive, especially since I went with the slotted, drilled, black rotors and ceramic pads. I couldn't find a better complete set.

As I told Sandusky 1977 aka rob about R1 Concepts, make sure to look up their ebay store rather than their actual website. fraction of the cost. They are amazing, I install them on all of my vehicles

My brother is also thinking about getting some Firestone Firehawk Indy 500, so let us know what you think. laugh.gif

He hasn't ordered brakes yet, but he was going to get them off eBay. He had to put it off because the Audi needed like $700 in parts to get it up and running properly again.

Today I took my car out for a drive to make sure everything is in working order for the track day this weekend. On the course of my travels I got to park next to a stock NA Mark 4 Supra. Here is a picture side by side.

Today I. . . . . . . was walking around junk yards looking for a couple spare part for my Celica. I popped the hood of a Toyota Camry and look what I found.

A 1MZ-FE, ooooh how I would love to drop one of those into a Celica. This one looks like it needs some love but everything is there.

Wow. laugh.gif

Anyway those are some interesting bolts, wouldn't imagine you could get much force onto them with the Allen key though.

You’d be surprised. I’ve torqued some recessed head bolts down far last what I could’ve done with a regular bolt in the past. Never in the Celica, of course, but good old Joy CM33 was an entirely different, much rustier, less reliable, more rugged piece of steel than then Celica is. In any case, these bolts don’t need any serious torque. They’re only holding one headlight tab, upper fender bolts, radiator clamps, washer fluid reservoir, etc. in place. Nothing moving or mechanical. Even so, the new grade 8 bolts are stronger than what Toyota used. smile.gif I’m just replacing bolts because I’m tired of looking at rusty bolts though.
