batter tender dude.

Usually it's not a problem since it'd get driven, but I actually thought about that earlier along with the fact at any given time two of my brother's cars are sitting unused. Provided it's warm enough tomorrow I'll attempt to drive it.

Personally I would sell it, but winter time is a bad time for rwd usually. Perfect time to buy tho. I've parted ways with a couple of vehicles recently so I can purchase my C5 in cash instead of dreaded car payments.

I don't think Winter is really much of a deterrent in Alabama since it's normally in the 40's and 50's, rarely does it drop into the 30's and lower. Tomorrow is supposed to be in the upper 40's which would be just warm enough for the summer tires, so I suppose we'll see.

Maybe because it's a BMW I overlooked them, but there's always the Z3. The later 3.0i put out 225 hp and 214 ft lbs of torque, but weighs 2,900 pounds... Then again the S2000 isn't really any lighter and has no torque, so the Z3 3.0i isn't that bad I guess considering. Provided it's reliable enough I think I'd like one. Look fairly spiffy too:

If I had the $$$ or they were cheap enough, the Z3 isn't really any more than a Miata these days. Which surprised me when I looked at what they were going for, saw a few nice 3.0 cars for $5K or less.

Even saw a first year Z4 for around $5K.

For what a S2000 costs rather get a C5 Corvette.

Anyhow, pulled the Firebird out of the garage and let it run for a bit. Was going to try driving it down the road and back but my legs weren't having any of that after crouching to remove the door panels. I was going to lubricate the window regulator since the windows have been on the slow side, but the way it's designed and mounted into the door I'll need to find one of those long straws like on the Seafoam spray cans in order to reach the rails of the regulator and the rail the glass rides on. I did manage to adjust the angle of the glass somewhat through the adjustment in the corner of the door, as well as the guides that help hold the glass and keep it from rattling. That did seem to help a good bit, so hopefully after lubricating everything they'll be good to go.

WD40 has a new straw, the can top will snap onto other spray cans too!

It's a little cold here, sitting at 0F.

Hmm, how nifty. Was going to use silicone spray since it seems to stick better and last longer. I have a few of those longer straws somewhere.

I'm not saying to use WD40, I'm saying to steal the top off the can and use it on whatever you did want to spray. I mean buy the can not just steal the top off one in the store. All those spray can tops will swap between cans, we reuse the smart straw can tops for our high grade silicone spray lube at work, it's WAY better than what I see in stores but it costs more too. Wurth makes good stuff.

Ahh ok, I think the Seafoam straw will work. I can reach the midsection of the rail the window rides along, rather or not can reach the regulator rails I don't know. The adjustments seem to have it working fairly smooth, so after lubricating should be good since I barely roll them down anyway. Usually it's just the driver side for drive through windows, having hair and working A/C and what not.

I was going to buy a tactical kilt to cheer myself up, but I can't decide between black or grey. I'm leaning towards grey since it'd also go with black shirts, and not having to worry about two different shades of black.

I don't see anything there for clutch control. I had found someone in England that has something, but it's inquire for price and from what I found from posts around forums is that it's about $5,000 for the system.

In other news I finally got the window straightened out well enough, it seals and rolls down so close enough for government work.
