Ok but when I drive like this (braking for corners and being safe) I get called 'slow' hey **** off, I can shimmy down a 3 mile stretch of curvy road in about 3:30!

Racecar pads, I honestly think I could live with that if I had brakes worthy of such pads. As it stands I sometimes forget when I switch cars and hit the Celica brakes a little harder than needed and accidently go from 60-30 in about 50ft when I meant to go from 60-45ish. And anything on the seat next to me launches forward. Then I get in the Mazda after driving the Celica and what transpires is me shouting NOT THE CELICA as I enter a cloverleaf about 10mph faster than I should in the Mazda or have to hit the brake pedal about 50% harder than I feel like I should. Don't get me wrong, the Mazda will hurry to a stop or wallow around a corner, but it's not the Celica. It almost feels like driving a Buick but with none of the redeeming Buick qualities.

Like a quiet smooth ride, comfortable seats, smooth idle, passing power, and enough oil leaks to prevent under body rust.

You could've had it all, but instead went with some Mazda and Ford abomination.

Well quit fixin the oil leaks! So what if there's a fire hazard, you can put out a fire but you can't put out rust.

Hey a free car is a free car, for the age and miles it's pretty darn clean, but yea it's not an ideal car. I think in about 4-5 years it's gonna be a toss up between a 19 Mazda 6 if they rolled out the turbo engine for it or a V6 accord. Got to be a sedan sadly, need the room for dogs and stuff and a bigger longer car is a little more stable in ****ty snowy weather it seems.

Free is free I suppose. They did come out with the 2.5 turbo in the Mazda 6 for the latest model year. Get an Accord Coupe V6, dogs don't belong in cars anyway. Dogs ruin everything, like your childhood and scar you for life. Or maybe that's just me.

Go on...

You’ll have to ask Skyler the specifics, but he put his homework into oil when he was having all of the turbo issues. He’s the one that let me know they changed it it the last couple of years. Kinda sucks because the last several oil changes I’ve done in the Celica, 5 qts of Rotella was cheaper than 5 qts of Castrol so that’s what I’ve used. Going back to Castrol after what he was telling me.

This sucks. I need to find a new oil for the ST165. The 3S really liked the T6. For whatever reason, it really kept the oil consumption issues under control.

We stock 5W-40 Valvoline Syn with MST and 0W-40 with HST. I have NO CLUE what HST and MST mean and the internet isn't helping me much, googlefu has failed.

Possibly, but I was attacked by a dog when I was young and I'd like to say I don't hate dogs for it but I do.

As far as the Valvoline from what I can tell MST and HST are their European oils and it's only sold here in 55 gallon drums, MST and HST doesn't seem to mean much of anything aside from what I can gather the HST is supposed to be the better of the two. I guess you could try calling Valvoline and ask them saying you've had customers curious about the differences.

I used to be afraid of dogs too as a kid, mostly the bigger ones. Now I see that cars and dogs are similar in the sense that if you grab them by the scruff of the neck and slide them around, they tend to obey if they're good. Miata likes wagging its tail a lot.

It's not that I'm afraid anymore, I just have a sense of disdain towards them. Ones that mind their business and leave me alone there's not a problem, but the ones that want to stick their nose up your ass or jump up and paw you I have no tolerance for. I'm just not a dog person, cats I like though. Cats are smart enough to take care of themselves and use the restroom in a box full of clay chips, and you can snuggle them without getting dirty or smelly.

The Miata is fairly lively with a LSD and all seasons, though nothing compared to the Firebird even on wide summer tires. Though with the BFGoodrich COMP-2 A/S you really had to try to get the Miata to step out, so with some good summer tires it'd probably be impossible unless you dumped the clutch or used the handbrake. That's the one thing that makes me think wide wheels and summer tires on a stock Miata is a waste unless you're tracking it, since even with the stock skinny wheels and all seasons it's more than competent enough with lateral grip and acceleration.

Speaking of I was watching a video and they were talking about most modern performance cars and how you can't use but 10% of its potential on the street unless you want to go to jail. Sounds about right. As far as handling goes anyway, you'll never use any sports/sporty car to anywhere near their full potential on the street without breaking the law unless you hinder them with really crappy tires. Powerwise there's more variance, something like the Firebird you rarely can fully use the power legally though having the power it can be exploited in other ways besides straight up acceleration. Even the Miata there are times where using the power fully would be daft and make you look like an asshat. The NB2 actually impressed me as it didn't feel gutless down low and actually felt fairly torquey for what it was, I guess the variable intake timing helped in that regard. It's just the exhaust sound I can't get over, like I've yet to hear a four cylinder where I thought it sounded good. V4 in sportbikes aside.

I did finally type out a new listing for the Firebird, just a matter of posting it. Meh...

Was Infiniti War better than Nissan Rogue? tongue.gif I love how manufacturers just jump on any movie they can tie into their brand.
