It's been just me and my bad luck and idiocy that's caused all these issues. BUMP!
Well, found the leek.  . . . oh... wrong leak. yes. this one.   well then... here we go...    O ring is there... doesn't look too bad, at least not bad enough to cause a leak.   Here's a shot of all the parts I took off.
