Me too. At first glance I thought the overhead shot was something more exotic. Such a nice shape, including the awkward lights.

I've seen and have acquired many ST205 models but the ST202s are really rare and hard to come by. I got this one without a box so it was a bit cheaper but I don't care about the box anyways. This is a toy and is meant to be played with. hehe.

I will have to say the details on this one is amazing! It's the best I've seen thus far. the 1:43 scale helps but they did great to get the interior spot on as well as details like the wheels actually look like the ST202 wheels. the underneath shows the subframe etc as it would be seen on a 6th gen too, not just some generic cover plate with a muffler underneath. It's very cool!

It'd be nice to find a 1:18 or 1:12 scale of a lot of cars, but sadly unless they're something like a supercar of the time they're nonexistent. Even the supercars can be hard to find even... Hell there's probably a good business venture there, especially with all the 3D printing and what not these days. Make large scale models for enthusiast cars of various makes and models. Hmm...

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy before

After

Over the last few weeks, I've been putting some more time into the Supra to clean a few things up. Mostly was to tidy up the engine bay a little bit by tucking the bay harness along with the power cable for the amp. Looks empty now. lol

Harnesses and power cable were tucked under their respective fenders. Amp power cable was routed into the fuse box and connected to the positive battery post in said fuse box. You can slightly see the power cable and in-line fuse holder. I'll eventually need to mark what holes I need to get welded up before I get the bay painted.

I still need to clean up the vacuum lines from the manual boost controller and then the water lines to the external wastegate. Might look for another spot to mount the boost controller as well. Hopefully that'll all be done by Thanksgiving.

The spark plug cover, fuse box cover, fan shroud, and the top of the radiator will be painted (wrinkle) black this weekend.....maybe.... After I clean out the targa drain lines...

Still a lot more work to be done, but mostly small things until the Celica is back on the road before I can tackle bigger things like standalone and fuel.

It's actually a relatively small turbo at 63mm. Borg Warner just likes to make massive compressor housings for whatever reason. An equivalent PTE turbo would be smaller in physical size. For a $700 turbo, I'm not gonna complain since it fits and does the job. lol

Psssh, that wouldn't make any sense after just selling it. I miss mine too, but the problem I have with most cars is the problem I still have with it. Engine swaps shouldn't be your most important mod, had we at least gotten some form of the ST202 I'd probably consider it before a 7th gen GT-S. I don't ask for much when it comes to power, but a direct carryover from the Corolla and Camry is just lame. At least the Miata offsets its 323 engine with RWD shenanigans and a bespoke platform. That said IF I had a need for FWD/AWD I would probably get another and I constantly recommend them to people.

I think that's cheaper than the V160. it was $600 for carbon synchros and sleeves and I still need to order 1 more shift fork before sending my transmission off for a rebuild. That's a good deal on labor though.

Everything is cheaper than the V160/161, I mean come on just their fluid is like $60 a quart. tongue.gif I think the T-56 benefits from the fact later models had carbon synchronizers from the factory, so they're under half as much if I recall correctly. Gourmet dinner, hmm depends on where you go and how hungry they are...
