the design of those poly bushings aren't very well made.
this design below is from the guy in russia who rebuilds the superstrut parts and uses poly bushings on the banana arm in various colors. as you can see it just about (90%) replicates the oem design in that the poly bushing doesnt physically touch the control arm so it will not bind up..... superstrut rebuilt poly bushings by Justin Towers, on Flickr This post has been edited by BonzaiCelica: Nov 8, 2018 - 3:08 AM -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts

Yup, generally the only time you want poly as a suspension bushing is if there's only one axis of motion. Multiple axes then rubber is your best bet usually, that or you're baller and get Johnny joints.

CLEAN YO WHEELS. It’s that worthless time of year where cleaning the car lasts about a day so I’m only cleaning the exterior about once a month. You should see the brake dust on the front wheels... Brakes look great dude. Good work. I machined rear 205 rotors 2 times now and never had an issue I’m probably going to take these off and get them turned. The pitting really isn’t that deep but I suspect it’s deeoer than should reasonably be removed. It is an eyesore though so reducing it would be nice. Surprisingly it’s not causing any issues with noise or otherwise, just far from pretty. the design of those poly bushings aren't very well made. this design below is from the guy in russia who rebuilds the superstrut parts and uses poly bushings on the banana arm in various colors. as you can see it just about (90%) replicates the oem design in that the poly bushing doesnt physically touch the control arm so it will not bind up..... superstrut rebuilt poly bushings by Justin Towers, on Flickr I agree. These high mileage used control arms are much tighter than the poly bushings were. All three sets I’ve had when brand new still wouldn’t sit properly in my control arms. Maybe if my car was a lot lower with stiff suspension so the control arms could sit level, I wouldn’t have an issue. It’s great that they are working out well for others but they simply didn’t work out for me. -------------------- "Employ your time in improving yourself by other men's writings, so that you shall gain easily what others labored hard for." -Socrates. If you can even find anyone that'll turn rotors these days, used to all the O'Reilly stores did but seems they're more few and far between now. Also was just thinking, might consider getting an adjustable proportioning valve so you can set up the brake bias to perfection. Since really any time you change out to something not o.e. or even all o.e. as is from factory you really should get one. Hell some cars can use them even 100% stock from the factory like the earlier Miatas.

Picture from when we picked the GT4 up:
Spent the day detailing the ‘Four. Made some definite improvements. It’s not perfect but I’m unwilling to wet sand any more because I have no way of knowing how much clear coat is left. Before: After: Degreased the engine bay, wet sanded where necessary, buffed the entire car, detailed the interior, and spent all day checking everything out. The wiper arms had some rust on them so I gave them a coat of POR15 top coat. Just took some general pictures. -------------------- "Employ your time in improving yourself by other men's writings, so that you shall gain easily what others labored hard for." -Socrates.
