Looks real good Lenny! Looks hella clean! I can't wait till I get my front and rear splitters on to even up the appearance of the skirts! Do you plan on doing anything else to the SS? Wheels, etc.?

well i was thinking about 18 inch oz f1s in anthracite grey and dropping it a bit, but thats about it. I think it looks really well as it is, and there is more than enouh performance there for me for commuting. If i wanna go fast ill just use me bike (955 cc daytona triple - 130 bhp = v fast)

haha yeah wish us U.S'ers had the options of getting the SS or the GT4 models here. You guys are so lucky! But yeah that's what I was thinking, it looks fine as is. Just need some wheels/drop to complete it and that's it. I wouldn't do anything else to it either besides that.

cheers guys
might take some engine pics for you to drool over @celica QT - yeah -the wheels and drop would set it off nicely. apart from that it doesnt need anything for the exterior. Its an everyday car so there would be no point on spending a fortune on it. @dstrbcelica - what you got? got any pics? Interior wise theres not much I could do either (except maybe get a 2 din stereo and some nice speakers) bearing in mind its an everyday car. bucket seats front and back, tinted rear and 3/4 windows, silver dash thing, white dials (which look black at night and the needles emit a cool orange glow) full electrics, air con etc. first impressions are its v fast for a normally aspirated motor. Very quick to rev up to redline at 7k, lovely smooth gear change, very positive. Brakes are fabulous. Tis a jdm import. dont think they were ever officially imported to Ireland. Saw the ad in the local paper one day for a white celica, wasnt 100% mad on the diea of a white car, buthad some time off work, went round to look at it and pretty much bought it there and then. Good Choice Lenny...really lovely car......
Go for rims and lowering.... With this model and color i like very much OZ Superturismo(White) and also any other white rims should be nice on this car. |

If you put the 18's on, you will not need to lower it at all. (well prolly .5 inch) mad car. Yeah white is not a good color in my book; but hell yeah on a 6gc.
wheels are no1 on to do list and i would recommend 17's to save a bit on money and future maintenance (new tyres in the future) as for the interior, you could replace the seat covers. I had the same cloth seat covers and i put some 2 tone leather ones. Go to my profile for pics. I really cant understand why Toyota put that cheap fabrique on the 96-99 model. The ones on the 94-95 model is much better. Also the have this black with red waves on just about every color celica i ever saw (black, silver, blue white) except red. On the red Celicas the covers are black with blue waves. ??? |

I got them from www.autointerior.com for about $700+ Now they are more expensive but the dollar was more expensive when i got them anyway, and there was an additional $35 for embroidery of the "GT FOUR" Their work is very good and i fully recommend them. but it depends what you want. If you want luxury you go with leather. If you want sporty you get vinyl or leather with multiple tones or you can get race seats but you still have the problem of what to do with rear seats. If i were you i would go with Charcoil leather like mine.
