I need to know if any of you guys have 5% all around. How dark is it? Can you see enough to drive at night? I might get it done for $150.

I just dont feel like runnin over pedestrians. Any info helps. Thanks.

10% is limo tint and it's illegal is a lot of states. Cops also can notice 10% easily, then you'll be on the side of the road tearing it off for the police. I'd go 15%, thats what I have, and it's a bit dark at night, but you should be ok. I've never heard of cops giving 15% any trouble

I have 5% in the Qtr glass and RR. It's pretty dark needless to say. But on my passenger/driver i have 20% and it's still pretty dark. You can see a little bit in the day, but at night it's hard.

Been pulled over once, that was when I had 35% in the drivers/passenger windows, 5% qtr and rr.

My friend had 5% all the way around and that was really dark. He's gotten pulled over 2 times for it. But still kept it on, but that was when having a doctors note got you off from getting a ticket.

Oh, usually at night if I'm at a light or something and I see a copper, I usually turn on my dome light (like I'm looking for something in my visor) or roll down my windows just in case. You never know if this cop will be a d!ck and pull you over.

dont mean to offend anyone, but i think uneven tints look like ass. like 5% in the rear, and 15% up front.... just do it all even all the way around...

personally, 5% seems a little bit too dark for me, and yes you will have trouble seeing at night...

If you have tint on ur front 2 windows no matter how dark its illegal. Cops will give anyone a hard time about it, but its a secondary offense. I dont think they can pull u over for it.

According to the cops "tint-o-meter" i have 17%

Tint-o-meter?? LOL

The legal limit here, i think is 20 or 35%. I used to have limo, all around, on my Lincoln. Had to roll down the windows in the winter to see at night. I didnt know that limo was 10% tho. I'm definately not gettin 5% up front. I guess i can do 5% in the rears and 15-20% up front. $150 aint a bad deal, right?

i have 5% all the way around and haven't had any trouble from the cops. when i get pulled over, i just roll down the window and turn on my dome light, i don't want a cop to have his hand on his gun b/c he can't see inside the car. but, here in arkansas i haven't had any trouble with the cops about my tint.

and $150 isn't bad at all..i paid $175 rolleyes.gif

I have 5% all the way around and on my winsheild, cops dont have a problem with it, maybe its because of the desert sun and heat that they understand?tongue.gif

It aint that hard to see at night, but i have some sort of night vision in my eye's:P
its perfect during the day, my brother has 20% all around and on windsheild and its to clear and lets too much sun in in my opinion.

EDIT: the entire job cost me $25 installed professionally, i dont know why u all pay so much, my brother got it done for $140 w/winshield graphics, wich is too much imo.

You can get pulled over just for your tint, I had 30% and got pulled over and ticketed for it.

Did any celis come with factory tint?
Mine was done pretty dark when i bought it, even all around, and it must have been professional if its not factory
my cars silver tho, i think it looks really nice

and according to that link, anything under 50 in my state is illegal... and its way darker than that... oh well smile.gif

yea i have 5-10% and i have been pulled over twice for different tickets and cops didnt say a thing about my tint(and it is VERY dark). as far as visibility it isnt bad, i mean it's difficult to see at night on an unlit road with no cars around but you can still see the road. the only trouble is seeing curbs on unlit streets. go as dark as you can. i'm actually thinking about tinting my front windshield like 35% when i get a little extra cash(desert sun sucks).
