Looking at buying a 6gen w/ 3S-GTE. I have read the many posts about the hassle this swap has brought people, so I am looking at buying a car with it already complete.

1.What are some things to consider or look out for with a completed swap?

2. If done correctly can this be a reliable car-- saying all the kinks are worked out?

Thanks for all your advice

If you look on buying/selling you will find three nice already swapped cars for sale that the owners claim have the bugs worked out. Thread is titled '2 swapped cars for sale' or something.
Do it 3S-GTE in 6GC = Speed with Class

well just go through the regular routine!

1. Look over the car for any visable flaws
2. Make sure the engine is COLD when you arrive to test drive!
3. Drive it around for a good 30-45 minutes because alot of cars will either have problems cold or hot or both.
4. check the exhaust to make sure there is no smoke, this can be misleading when first starting the car because of condensation, but smell it!
5. Have a good mechanic check it out, NOT HIS MECHANIC.
6. Have the mechenic do a leak down test along with the mechanical inspection.
7. Service Records!

Im sure theres alot more! I wish I would have followed all this buying both my cars, its worth the piece of mind when buying a new car!
