If anyone is looking for a header for their 5S-FE Celica, Hotshot Performance is trying to start production on a header, but they don't have enough demand for them yet, they said they only have 4 people (me being one of them) serious about buying them, and they need about 20 people. They said if 12 people pre-ordered, then they might be able to do it. They already have the proto-type ready, and since I haven't been able to find anyone else making a header, this sounds like the best option. They said it will only take about a month to get them made and ready to ship once enough people have signed on. If you want to contact Hotshot, I spoke with John, you can email them @ hotshotsales@eathlink.net, or you can get a hold of me and place the order through the shop I work for, Custom Wheels and Accessories, Nashville, TN 37211, my phone: 866-333-1196, email: ken@customwheelz.com. Serious people only PLEASE!!!!!

Since they don't have the part built yet, they can't give me exact numbers, but average HP gains are 10-12 HP, but once they produce it and test it they will know exact numbers, they will be made of Mild Steel and will be Ceramic Coated, if you want to get an idea, go to www.hotshotperformance.com, to have a look at some of the other headers they offer, to give you an idea of what the Celica ones will be like. If I can get enough people to order through my shop, they said they will give me an extra discount, so I would be able to pass it on to everyone who ordered. That way everyone is happy.

They are not sure if they will make it 4-2-1 or a 4-1, until they start production and check clearance in the engine compartment. That will determine what style they will make.

4-2-1 is 4 pipes from the exhaust leading to 2 main pipes (4 split into pairs of 2) to then have those 2 main pipes join into 1 pipe, 4-1 is just 4 pipes becoming 1, 4-2-1 helps cut down on turbulence inside the headers.

One's better for low end power and the other for hi end. I don't remember which tho. I would guess 4-1 for hi end

4-1 allows more flow for high end power, but sacrafices low end torque due to difficulties in maintaining gas scavenging pressure. The difference in a well made header piece however, doesn't matter much, and a 4-2-1 made by a good company is best for high end and low end.

You said they have a prototype ready but you say they don't have one made and haven't checked for clearance? No offense, but sounds a bit sketchy.

They've done this before, not to burst anybody's bubble, but they were feeding me this bull**** a long time ago, back when i had the idea to make headers myself (which i do apologize for, but had so many complications, i havn't picked the project back up), these guys are unreliable, they told they had a celica in the shop working on it and was completely sure that they would have the headers done in 3 weeks time "Easy." Two months went by with no e-mail's or whatever, and i called them, gave them my name, they had it recorded, and told me they never had a celica in the shop and never started working on the headers for it and doesn't know who told me that. So screw them i said. My .02 cents

The reason I said that they hadn't checked for clearance yet, is because that is what a woman that works there told me when John was at lunch, I talked to John later, he then gave me the real story, prototype is ready, it will be 4-2-1, and there are no clearance issues. I am trying to get some pics of their prototype, so I can post them as well.

Tell ya what, you give me one, I'll put it on my car, along with a windsheild banner of ur company. I'm at the race track every Tuesday and usally running, so most people know my car down there. (Indianapolis, IN) so it would be good advertising
