I'm looking at getting a body kit for my car and I've seen some that are pretty cheap ones on Ebay and I was wondering if these kits are any good at all. I wanted a Shogun style kit, so I was looking at Veilside/ViS/Erebuni, but all the kits on Ebay are just look a likes for the most part.
Also, I've found good places to buy the Veilside or Erebuni, but not the ViS, so if you know of any good places to get a ViS bodykit from let me know about that too. Thanks. |

i've heard only bad things about ebay body kits....although i got lucky and got a combat front that wasnt too bad for 150...its DEFINETLY not a "bolt on fit" though.

i would definietely be careful with that because most of the guys that are selling kits on ebay have no feedback whatsoever so they could be scamming you out of a good 500 bucks

don't get an ebay bodykit. the fiberglass is thin and the fitament sucks.
look around on groupbuycenter.com for a group buy on VIS bodykits. I saw one the other day, 450 for the kit, 150 for shipping. seems like a pretty good deal. |

Obviously, the bigger price tag / obvious look of the item, the less you want to 'look for a deal'. At least for myself, I wouldn't cut corners with something like a body kit or a engine swap. Find a group buy sure, but Ebay is risky

I've heard a lot of bad talk from people about Erebuni stuff, but what about this setup:
Veilside C-1 front (maybe it will hold up better than the other ones) Erebuni Shogun sides no rear (I have a coupe and I've heard its a pain in the ass to make the rear bumper fit onto the coupes) Wings West Supra Style Wing w/ light I was planning on getting the Veilside front from www.visionperformance.com and the sides and wing from nopionline. They have the best prices that I've found so far for each product. Let me know what you think this would look like. |

I don't really see the point in spending the money for the authentic Veilside, it is afterall just fiberglass, you're basically just paying for the name. But, whatever makes you happy... oh, and I wouldn't buy any Erebuni parts either if I were you. I hear people say the sideskirts are often too short, or mis-shapen in some way. |

Would I be better off going with ViS as opposed to Erebuni? How's the fit on the ViS?
Or would I just be better off going with ViS front and sides? Also, if anybody has used the groupbuy thing before, how does that work exactly? |

Sometimes I don't trust buying kits on Ebay cuz the last time my friend bought one, it was cracked. Oh well, good luck!

Since we're talking body kits...
From what I can see and from what I've heard/read, there is NO body kit that is a perfect fit whether you buy directly from the manufacturer or from eBay (I stand to be corrected). Wherever you buy from you're going to have to fork out more dosh on getting it fitted correctly. What I want to do is a mix and match ... Neverstop's side skirts (oo err missus!), carcept wheel arch extensions, veilside rear bumper, ? front bumper. Therefore, I would prefer to wait and see what Neverstop, k2, ... come up with, and, pay (and support) 6GC enthusiasts who are prepared to fabricate body parts that fit correctly. Good on you guys. |

Granted you are paying for the name... but veilside knows what there doing... thats way eveyone copies there kits, also there kits are made from carbon fiber, polyurathane and alittle bit of fiberglass for flavor. diffenitly worth the cash if you got it. -------------------- 99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =) |
