I bought a 95 GTS with a water filled hi beam which needs to be replaced. I sourced the light from a scrap yard($100CDN) and I'm ready to replace it. Do I have to remove the bumper? Any instructions or stickies on this? I did a search but couldn't find anything.
Many thanks!

yup - only way to replace the lights is to remove the front bumper.

There's a thread on the uk site - www.celica-club.co.uk
It'll take you about an hr to take off btw..

Thanks! By the way, I see that steam build up happens to many, any way of resolving this?
I know my dad's Cadi STS and other STS have this problem with the taillights. We resealed them but after 3 months, it started up again.

I just replaced my high beam too. Your gonna have to remove the fenders, front bumper, and crash bar to get to the lower bolts of the high beam. Take some silicone and seal the edges between the glass and the plastic housing. It worked for me. No more condensation.

You just need to take off the front bumper. No need to do the fenders or crash bar. If you need detailed instructions, PM me

Weird, Cuz my front bumber is attatched to my fenders...and the crash bar I removed so that I could access the the light better. Would the pre-facelift front bumpers be different?

mine is a 95. There are 3 bolts that you get off in the fender through the wheel well. Just reach in and undo them.
