or, i can delete all the nonsense. and streetdreamz94 can post information about his car, other than "it's for sale". sure that's a high price for such a car, but that's his decision. if it doesn't sell, it doesn't sell. if someone is dumb enough to buy it for that price, then that's their problem. just let it go guys.
street: more info about your car is very necessary for you to sell it on these boards. esp considering most people here already have a celica. also, everyone here knows about the celica, and that it's overpriced, so, it would be beneficial to you to post more info, and justify that price. any further flaming one way or another will be deleted, so please don't even bother. -John- -------------------- |

your a dealer?
you should know not to expect that much from a car like this and with modification comes depreciation the more you change the less relaible at a dealership that car would go for 3k max but i used to have teal and way to rock it! |

Well guys .. I doubt if the car would go at a dealership for 3K, considering the trade-in value of a stock car unlike the one I show, has a tag for $3,050. Kelley Blue Book helped me on that one. And according to them, the retail value on a lot would be $6,300. So considering the modifications, I find it reasonable. And if one source isn't good enough to prove to you guys, NADA suggests the retail be $5950. A 1994 Toyota Celica, with only 95,000 miles on it, means that in the last 11 years, there was roughly 8,600 miles put on a year. That seems well below the 15K a year average doesn't it. Hmm.. that can only mean the car was driven less that average. Weird huh ... Oh, there is also this really good auction source, Manheim.com. An above average celica with 89,000 miles on it, went for $3,911. Thats at an AUCTION! And shid, with less than 1,500 miles put on since nitrous was installed, and considering less than a full bottle went into the motor .. I can reassure you that the motor is fine. I know NOS has a tendency to do that to your car, but ZEX on the other hand, is just a little bit different. You guys need to read up on your material before you reply. Thanks.

Yeah, the namebrand of nos really makes a difference
sorry man, it's the same chemical formula, read up on your material before you claim that Zex is somehow gentle on the engine. You will never get bluebook on this car because: 1) You've heavily modifified it's interior 2) You've removed 2 seats; now it's a 2 seater. 3) You've got a giant rollcage in it; pretty obvious. 4) after 10 or so years, bluebook starts to not matter so much to buyers 5) You've touched the engine 6) not only have you touched it, you ran NOS through it. I don't care how many bottles you shoved through it- and neither will a buyer, and neither will a car lot. I'd have to "trust" you to believe you; and so would anyone else. And they won't. (and I don't) |

Okey ... So by me *enhancing* the cars performance, handling, and style, your saying that the value of the car doesn't go up? Okey .. tell the rest of the tuner world that they should just stop putting upgrades on their cars ... n we don't want all the cars looking like yours ... so i think you should just let this slide because your not gettin newhere with it

Yes, ask any tuner and they know that unless you're putting 100k dollars into a 97 TT supra and doing an auto manual convert or something like that, you decrease the cars value. This is common knowledge, and people buying cars know it too.

I agree with shid on this one... I think after u start to modify ur car it doesn't hold its value as much as if it was stock... atleast that is my opinion..
