I'm looking to buy a radar detector. I'm just wondering what's a good one. And if it's legal? Thanks.

i don't know which ones are good or not, i got one and although it was pretty cheap compared to some other ones, it has kept me out of a few tickets. it's a whistler, i believe. there are some that cost about 300 bucks scramble to police's radars and such. i bet those r pretty good. regardless, some states allow them and some don't, you can search online to see if your state is one of those who do not allow radar detectors. i know washington dc and virgina are 2 of the ones that don't allow them.

Yea i've heard stories of cops like ripping them out of cars in Canada.
As for the original post, i'd say for the most part the more expensive the better it works. |

i know they aren't illegal in minnesota, but i have heard that if you get a ticket and the cops see that you have one, they can double the fine on the ticket. has anyone heard of that in any other states??

u could always get a phantom jammer...and just mount it under your seat or somewhere where a cop wont see it since it doesent have to see the radar to jam it

i guess it depends on the darkness of the tint... and clear corners are only illegal if the light they emit aren't orange, correct? can anyone verify on this? |
