I'm looking to in buying an underglow kit for my 94 GT, but I'm not sure which kind to go with; there are so many different names and brands, with so many different prices. I don't need etremely nice kits, but I do want them to show up real well at night. Does anyone have any suggestions on which brand of kit I should go with? Prices and descriptions would be most helpful. Also, are they pretty easy to install? Or is it worth it to take it somewhere and get it professionally done? Thanks for your imput! biggrin.gif

If I were you, I'd go with Street Glow. Found here. The only reason is because I've heard nothing but good things and the prices seem to be pretty reasonable. I don't know about anyone else, so, don't go on just my word. I'm sure there are other valid opinions. Good luck with the kit!

Is the wiring any different than wiring up interior neons?

Also, be careful not to drive with your neon on until you check with local laws and see if it's ok, because you could end up like me and get a $171.00 ticket for it.

I know it depends on the cop, but i actually asked one. He said any color is ok as long as its not BLUE, only police cars can have blue lights. But they can still act like pricks and give you a ticket.

I had RED neons under my car (don't remember the brand though). It made people's heads turn bowdown.gif , but 1 unfortunatly broke so i took them off. But I'm going to buy the street glow RED ones soon. So 95stcelica do you think you can hook me up? how much??

My local laws say that you can't have them on, no matter what color they are, while driving down the road. You can run them sitting still, in a parking lot, or anywhere in public as long as you're car is not moving. I'll still get them, though, I'll have to get a toggle switch and wire them so I can cut them off and on whenever I need to.

I have white ones and around here if they can see the bulb, no matter the color, they can ticket u.
I asked the OHP about it and they said that red and blue were saved for emergency vehicles only.
When was the last time u saw a police car with red undercars on??
And when has someone in a non-police car pulled over someone??

All i have to say is not liteglow. I had all kinds of problems with them. Three times over I had to get one the side or the front. I'm trying to get my money back now. But yeah street glow is the way to go. Nothing but good things.

i have a street glow gold series and it is by far the best...i had lite glow and it sucked. in PA, red and blue lights are reserved for emergency dispatch vehicles only...but they can still pull people over for any neon, led, etc inside or outside the car if you are moving.

Last time I saw a non police car pull over someone? Yesterday. I live in the Chicago burbs, and they have unmarked police cars around here. We've seen regualr impalas, riced out civics (whale tail spoiler, underbody kit, the whole works), and SUVs.

Trust me, you never saw it comin. Plus blue/red can get distracting, my friend was riding in the back of my Celica and his phone flashed blue and read. I saw it in the rear view mirror and immedently slowed down and started looking around. Took me a second to realize what the hell was going on.
