yeah well now i join some of the other 6gcers that have gotten into an accident with their celi. it all started on my way home from school and it was raining pretty bad. i'm just leaving a red light and i get to about 30 when the truck in front of me hits their breaks hard causing them to stop quickly. i, not thinking, hit my breaks hard causing them to lock and i skid like 2-3 car lengths into the trucks back bumper. we pull over to the side, call the cops, and then i go to the station. fill out the report, and the cop begins to write me a ticket in the back. my dad talked to the luitenant(sp?) and got the ticket dismissed. it would of been 2 points on my insurance and the only damage i did to the car was i bent their back liscense plate. the people were nice so i was lucky. here's the pics of the damage:

Went to the 10 different junk yards the day after it happened and i only found 2 6gcs. it wasn't until the last one i stopped at that i actually bought decent parts. unfortunetly it wasn't a U-Pull it so it cost me 500. i'm also gettin' the leather interior out of the car for cheap since they messed up the bumper a little.

i'm going to keep the process updated. it isn't all that big of a job but things were bent in and the reason why i bought all the parts even though i may not need them is because the chances of me ever finding a celica again are slim. hope this entertained ya'll?

damn bro, that really sucks balls. its cool that you were able to find the parts though. 6GCs are kinda rare here, ESPECIALLY in junkies. so i consider you pretty lucky. I hope you get it back to normal soon. Good luck. I'm glad nothing happened to you too. Keep us updated.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

wait...bodykit? Why dont you just get the bodykit instead of buying that stock bumper? or was that just in case you wanted to go back to stock in the future?

500$ for all those parts isnt bad at all!! Good find! You'll have it together in no time. The previous owner pretty much did the same damage to mine but on the passenger side..its all fixed now though.

Yeah as in bodykit i meant lip kit. sorry for the confusion. but even if i did go with a kit that replaced the stock bumper, i'd still want stock just incase.
