headlight gaskets, how do you replace them? Options

so at some point in time, my celi was repainted and when they did it, they did a really shaddy job..my bumper doesnt line up fully, missed some spots painting, bits of spatter here and there, but when they put the headlights back in, they didnt put the gaskets in properly. So now all of my gasket on my highbeams on the bottom is poped out and my low beams gaskets keep fallin out/off...so how do i get the headlight out/repair it??

I had the exact same problem as you and am getting desperate to know what could be done to sealing those gaps in the headlights.

If you want them secured the proper way when they were originally installed you have to take off your bumper to access the clips that hold them onto the headlight.

You basically clip the seal between the headlight and the clip and you're all set. There's about maybe 4 or 5 of them for each light.

I wouldn't glue them...especially if you live in a state where you have winters because they can harden up and eventually peel right off.

heh i got the same problem but thinkin of just waiting to take of my bumper off when I install factory fogs and hopefully projector

Got to your toyota dealer. Clips shouldn't cost more than $1 each. Don't know exact cost, but just go there and check out how much they'll all cost.

Just tell them that you need the clips that attach the seal to the headlight.

how do you take the bumper off??..like how many screws are there/how long would it take??

3 or 4 bolts to take off from both sides and like 4 from the top. might need to take your splash gaurds off. easy stuff, took me 30 min.
