I'm going to buy the s-tec or something like that sway bars for my car, and I was wondering if there is any problem with putting them in on stock hieght. I don't think there will be, but just in case, I thought I'd ask. Also, anything else I need to know? Thanks.

Umm. Do you mean Tein S-Tech springs? Or do you mean sway bars? In either case no, don't worry.

He means the Suspension Techniques sway bars I believe. They were actually engineered for Celicas at stock height, hence the rubbing issues with older versions of the front bar on lowered cars. So yeah, you'll be fine(and very happy with the reduced body roll.)

Hey what if you have tein springs can the suspension techniques sway bar kit fit, you stated there was rubbing issues before, have they fixed that problem?

Yes, Suspension Techniques redesigned the front sway bar so that it no longer rubs the frame. So make sure you get one of the new bars. smile.gif

I saw a kit, front and rear bars in option auto, but i'm not sure if they are the redesigned one, how can you tell if they are redesigned. is there a certain size front and back that we need to get?

sorry to crash this tread but im thinking of getting a pair of these suspension tecniques sway bars frount and rear. how much do they aid the handeling and is it worth it. its for a 1996 uk spec GT. ta

Hey bro but...cant'u simply solve the problem with some kind of custom additional bushings?
Cuz I have a set at home ready to be on but I always heard about that and I can't believe that the fukin noise can't be solved....let me know, thanks

Bushings would not work. In fact, they would make the problem worse. The sway bar mounts on the top side of the cross member and the bar rubs on the underside of the car. If you put in spacers or used bigger bushings, you would just be pushing the bar up more toward the underside of the car. The problem is that the bar is bent in such a way that the middle section (between the bushings) is too high so it had to be redesigned to correct the fitment. The new bar? Well, its perfect.

P.S. I would buy peformance springs if you were going to go with sway bars. They are only $140-$180 bucks depending on what you get. With some low profile tires, you can complete your go-kart-like ride.
