Hi Folks.
I am new to the world of Celica's and have fallen for my 6G - called Lucile, an ST-202 (...sad I know! lol). Lovely curves...Ummmm..... Can anybody tell me what modifications can be done to enhance the BHP of the car and at what price? - just average bhp increases and value needed! I know it is a little bit like 'how long is a piece of string' kind of question, but I would love to know where everybody started and which mod they went for and why and what results they got and if it was hard to do/install. Hope I'm making sense. Jaq1967 |

Thanks for getting back on that and some feedback. Will look into it. Been looking through Banzai and all looks like damn good fun and look forward to playing with my new toy. Any more feedback welcome. I will check out other posts as I am sure this isn't an original question. Any idea on what the cheapest mods are to get on with? I fear there is nothing cheap in ANY mod! lol...

HP cost money.
Start off with what I have listed. You can run into the problem of buying somehting useless and then have to change it. Save and buy something good. -------------------- West_Minist

Fensport are a good call for toyota owners in the UK, ive had a few things off them, good service and help.
I have an imported Celica GT, in the UK with the 3SGE engine, which by the way lets have a look at that beutiful engine....heehee Im not too sure what the standard engine was for UK built celicas, but i have been told the imported models have a bit more bhp than the UK ones, this is reflected in the insurance! Anyhows if you have the same engine as above, congrats! I have a blitz intake on it which i think has helped a little, and a S/S exhaust, although wish i went for a branded one now as the pipe is a little crushed bent so avoid people like powerflow! Congrats on the new car anyhow! |

Evolve... seeing you mention insurance Christ it is a nightmare when mentioning the word 'Import'. I did quote on UK spec online with Bugdet Insurance (hehe! cr@p) and came up with £700. Changed it to 'Import' and it too changed to £2490 F/C. Did some shopping about and did get it down to £550 full comp (I live in SW2, London - Brixton (Riot Zone), if you know it! So if it sounds a lot it probably isn't living here!!!). The average quote for me was £750 to £800 with those who specialise in Imports. The big firms suck. BTW...I'm 35 with 18 years driving and no dings or points. The insurance company if your interested was Liverpool Victoria (08706-004528) that I used! That engine is a beaut btw... how many bhp do you reckon the intake makes on top??? Jaq1967 |

Sorry i replied late! I tried every possible company - went through whole of yellow pages!!! - but no-one would insure anyone under 21 for a group 16 car (I've got a 1998 GT, this didn't help!). 4 - 5 years time and my insurance should cost me less than what i paid for the car!! lol -------------------- 1996 UK white ST205
