I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

95gtschick: My friend was going to AWD his Civic, he was going to use Honda CRV parts but it was V-tec and made things difficult.

Sorry for going off topic, and can't wait to see you Celi finished!

i have the 3rd gen 3sgte that im swapping into my car now and i also have the 2nd gen 3sgte sitting im my basement. i was originally going to put in the 2nd gen and stick with FWD, but i found a sweet deal on a st205 front clip.

the 2nd gen is going up for sale as soon as i have time to put it in ebay or post it here with pictures.

The race cell in the trunk never looks good. :-(

Not going to try and source an ST205 gas tank ?
I know of a few ST185 gas tanks around.
You could use the stock gas tank if you want
cut out the spare tire hole and hang it under the trunk ?

(just dropping in from all_trac.net:-)

Good luck on the Project !

Regards;

as for the fuel cell........dont worry, when im done with it totally. it will look good. what i might do is make a fiberglass sub box to go over the cell. that should hide it nicely.

i already have all of my fuel parts and there just witing to be put in.

thanks ne way. smile.gif

the biggest factor in doing this swap is fabrication skills.
luckily, his dad is a master fabricator.
cant wait to see it finished! smile.gif

if i have all the parts from an st205 that i would need to convert to AWD and a good fabricator, would i be able to do it having a 7afe or 5sfe or would the engine have to be a 3sgte? i just dont know if the engine/tranny have anything to do with it. thanks.

technically couldnt the 5s motor work? we use 5s tranny with the 3s in a swap but essentially you could do it backwards with a 3s alltrac tranny and drivetrain fit it to a 5sfe motor. it would be pointless. but unique at the same time. am i wrong?

Your right, but then we'd end up like the Subaru Impreza RS. Underpowered AWD. The 5s is slow anyway. Adding the AWD would really put a strain on the motor and slow the car down a good bit. Most people who've got the cash for the AWD also have the money for the 3s. I doubt you'll ever see a AWD 5s powered Celica.
