I have a '95 GT without the heat shield that goes over the exhaust manifold. Anybody know if a HS off a similar vintage Camry will bolt right up.

It kinda hurts to have our cars called vintage. Mines older than yours, and I didn't think it was vintage yet. -------------------- Live Free, Be Happy

the 1990 Camry DX has a 3sge, it looks really similar to the 5sfe. Idk if bolts match up and what not, but if i didnt know what i was looking at, they would look damn close.

Why do you need it? Dont grab your header when your cars hot!

The shield helps protect your plastic fans and other electrical wires or anything else that could melt around there. Sometimes people run into problems with headers because of this. I haven't heard any Celica guys having a problem though. -------------------- Live Free, Be Happy

Similar vintage = same time made.
Vintage = when it was bottled, or something made a long time ago. Either definition works...but these days, wine is bottled and drunk within a few months rather than a few years/decades (off on a tangent). |

I already have a hole melted in the insulation blanket on the underside of the hood and I'm sure come summer more stuff is going to melt.
I'll go looking for a Celica or Camry heat sheild since that seems to be the consensus. Thanks for the help. BTW I'll take a '95 Cab over an '05 Cab anyday and that goes for Celis in spades. Jim -------------------- 97 Celica GT HB Liquid Gray Metallic - Mine

the 5th gen and 6th gen GT's with the 5sfe have different heatshields... so i'm not sure if the camry's the same or different... but i'm betting it'll be different. -------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
