Hi Guys,
am a bit confused here. When someone wants to upgrade his stock head lights, he has only the option of going for projectors ? In terms of upgrading a complete kit. Not a bulb only. I'm currently in this situation, would like to have clear lights, but not Projectors, as they are too expensive. In my understanding Projectors = Xenon lights, correct? I know that other brands Hondas, Mazdas, etc. have had for some time clear lights only - without having xenon beams. Is that possible to get on Celicas? Or the only option (two options perhaps) is to get projectors (or those Xenon bulbs with those HIDs?) ?? Pls explain. Thanks. -------------------- '96 Celica GT, 16" AEF alloys, Eibach springs by Toyota Team Europe, TENZO Air intake, Chiptuning, GT4 design by Postert

Projectors does NOT = Xenon lights.
You can use Xenon lights in your projectors. I havent seen anyone that had done it though. You can use HIDs. Projector use h1 bulb while the normal one uses h4. Here is a pic of the projectors -------------------- 98 ST204 ZR - Black Beauty - Roaming the streets of Sydney 73 TA22 LT - Tiffany Blue - Mint Classic Weekend Cruiser 75 TA22 LT - Snow White - Mint Classic Weekend Cruiser 77 RA28 LT - Flubber Green - Mint Classic Weekend Cruiser 94 MX-5 NA8 Clubman - Red Racer - Looking for corners WIP Project: 69 RT40 Corona, 2nd WIP Project: 66 RT40 1600s Corona 86 Corona RT142 - Daily Driver 6GC 4 Life Baby!!! |

I see, so it means Projectors = clear headlights
They're not so cheap, but not so expensive either. can be found (toyotaworld) for some 500USD already a pair of low beams. Thanks anyway. -------------------- '96 Celica GT, 16" AEF alloys, Eibach springs by Toyota Team Europe, TENZO Air intake, Chiptuning, GT4 design by Postert

Your better off getting the whole set.
It will look weird cause the low beam would be clear but the high would be frosted. And you dont want to take off your bumper twice cause its a pain in the a$$. But if you dont have enough money I can understand you are making this move -------------------- 98 ST204 ZR - Black Beauty - Roaming the streets of Sydney 73 TA22 LT - Tiffany Blue - Mint Classic Weekend Cruiser 75 TA22 LT - Snow White - Mint Classic Weekend Cruiser 77 RA28 LT - Flubber Green - Mint Classic Weekend Cruiser 94 MX-5 NA8 Clubman - Red Racer - Looking for corners WIP Project: 69 RT40 Corona, 2nd WIP Project: 66 RT40 1600s Corona 86 Corona RT142 - Daily Driver 6GC 4 Life Baby!!! |
