so im driving around and all of a sudden i hear a loud BOOM then loud clanking that sounded like a mix of an exhuast leak and what it sounded like when my brother threw a rod, so i pull into a parking lot and pop the hood to find that the spark plug from the #4 cylender flew up out of the head and dented my hood, all while still being attached to the wire, the engine still ran when i pulled over but i havent tried to start it again, now my friends and i think that the head for sure needs replaced but what do you guys think oh, and NIK do you still have that head from your 7afe i think that i might need to buy it from you

oooo..that does suck...sorry to hear about that...you might need to by the way you describe it...must have a lot of pressure damaging from inside and out to throw spark out like that.

That happened to me on my old car, it ripped the thread out. I just put a bit of locktite round a new plug and put it in cause it wasn't worth fixing it. It was still going strong when i put it in the wreckers for scrap metal. good luck.

if the threads were not damaged, then you can just put a new one in and be on your way. just make sure to tighten the new one down so it dosnt pop out...but not so tight that it gets stuck in there
