Not that I will being do it soon but just curious. Will a 2JZ motor from a Supra work on the celica? If not what motor makes the best for a turbo project?

The 2jz conversion has been discussed before.
Most would agree it wouldnt work, but if you've enough
money then yes. Search "2JZ" if you want to know more.
The best turbo motor project would definiately be the 3SGTE.
If you are feeling creative you could try the 4agte and 5sgte wink.gif

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

You could always add a turbo to your motor. Parts are readily available.

i'm only saying that cuz there are so many people asking about the 2jz-gte swap. and if they really want the power of the supra combined with the sexiness of a celica, it'd be much easier to get a supra and do a celica body conversion. i've seen a few celica-to-supra conversions but never any supra-to-celica.

Probably because a Supra to Celica sounds like a downgrade?

Not a problem I am old school too. Lots of computer stuff.
Big learning curve but I'm getting more informed by the day.
Lots of good info here. Read the stickys, how to articles on
main page are very helpful also. smile.gif
